I am 70 years old and a Bee Gees fan for many decades. However, the song OVERDRIVE is simply a masterpiece. Strong rhythm, beautiful melody and a wonderful voice. GREAT, good to hear, gets into the blood. Best wishes to everyone 🍀 wehre ever you are.
@@IloveNastyaSivaevaguys, wake up, all of you...this really reached the point of everything dumbing down to the absolute Idiocracy level. It starts to be really worrisome. When we were growing up there was no internet and in order for one to realize what was the original and the beauty of it was super hard, practically impossible. Today, one has to type "xxx - yyyy is the cover of what song". How hard is that?
Well, 'Overdrive' just made me want to rev up my lawnmower and host a backyard dance-off. Thanks, Ofenbach and Norma Jean Martine, for giving my gardening tools a taste of the '80s spotlight with that catchy Kim Wilde sample! Maybe I should start a 'Lawnmower Rave' festival.
Wonderful vocals and the chorus tune is so 80s it's kinda nostalgic. I think it's the key to the popularity of this song - people like it the first time they hear it because it reminds them of what they have liked for the past 30 years. Also, this song would be even more awesome if it was a bit longer. Or more than a bit ;)
@@Me-wh6hlmuch love to you, person 💚🙏🏼 I felt it so much that this has to be based on an older song when I first heard it. I just felt it, sounded familiar... I came here looking for any clues, and you answered the question even without asking. Love you 💚
First time I've heard Ofenbach, super talented duo. Great song, with a slight Lady Gaga influence to it. Featuring Norma Jean, what a voice & what a name🤟
@@tidecembre A slight Lady Gaga influence to it, that's all. Lady Gaga is an influential figure & you can't really put an artist like that in a box by comparing her to one song👍 Overdrive is some track
Jedem der aus den 80ern kommt wird dieser Song eine Gänsehaut verpassen. Der original Song war traurig. Jetzt diesen Remix zu hören ist toll. Er führt für mich dazu, dass ich mich in beiden Welten bewege. 80er traurig, 2030er vorderent positiv!
I love the use of the melodies and synth lines from Kim Wildes classic 80s hit "Cambodia" which i still love to this day. "Overdrive" is a well crafted modern day dance masterpiece. We need music like this is the USA instead of Drakeula.
@@kpolak666 untrue there has always been cover versions of songs in the history of pop music starting way back in the 50s with Elvis Presley doing cover versions of classic soul records, the the 60s the Beatles also did many cover versions also of classic soul music and it continued into the 70s and 80s with many artists doing remakes of classic 60s hits. I seen nothing wrong with sampling old songs.
I wanna feel the heat, I wanna own the night I wanna feel the beat, I wanna dance tonight I wanna lose myself, I wanna come alive I wanna feel the love, go into overdrive I wanna feel the heat, I wanna own the night I wanna feel the beat, I wanna dance tonight I wanna lose myself, I wanna come alive I wanna feel the love, I wanna go into overdrive Into overdrive It doesn't matter where I go I feel the music in my soul I love the way the rhythm makes my body go There's a dance floor in my dreams And I've been moving in my sleep Love the way the bass sound makes me lose control I wanna feel the heat, I wanna own the night I wanna feel the beat, I wanna dance tonight I wanna lose myself, I wanna come alive I wanna feel the love, I wanna go into overdrive Into overdrive I wanna feel the heat, I wanna own the night I wanna feel the beat, I wanna dance tonight I wanna lose myself, I wanna come alive I wanna feel the love, go into overdrive Into overdrive, into overdrive Into overdrive, into overdrive
