The heavy skirmishers might be my favourite unit in the game. Can handle themselves in an infantry fight against most and then have devastating close range javelin power.

@@bravozero6 picked peltast are too costly imo, not to mention the 2 factions that have them are kinda garbage in mp. Numidian heavy skirmisker are great, the same for Dacian heavy skirmisher. These 2 units' stats are very interesting when you compare them. Each has some adavantages over the other.

Can I ask re Masaeseyli quick question....re their "Hit and Run: +12% shots per minute for all cavalry units " does that mean they will run out of their ammo faster? or do they get a buff to their original ammo amount? thanx!

As Rome Auxilliary Cavalry and plain Legionaries are most cost effective units. 6 of each with some Pastati and spears works best in a rush build. Some cheap skirmish to deal with elephants and missile cavalry if needed. Syrian archers are the worst unit in Rome roster.
