Are you keen to know how easy it is to create the off-canvas menu with Elementor PRO?
It takes very little effort to switch from horizontal to vertical navigation that works on each and every device. Such navigation doesn’t need to deal with responsiveness and makes your site header clean. Instead of the classic horizontal navigation, there will be a button that triggers the appearance of the menu. You can also use your off-canvas “thing” as a sidebar and fill it up with all kinds of data; links to the social profiles, maybe an address, recent posts, google ads - whatever suits your needs. Either way, I hope you’ll find this tutorial useful.

That's not a Browser popup, it's an element of DOM and as such it can only bring more value to the SEO.

Maybe I made a mistake (honest mistake, sorry), but I suppose all you gotta do is to change the position of the CLOSE button. It shouldn't be that hard!

@@OoohBoi I used the popup as a mobile menu, but when it was opened I could still the page in the background. But I could disable the page scrolling in the popup settings in the meantime.

Greetings Oooh Boi. I watched this now almost 2 year old video and learned quite a bit. One question, is it possible to have a hover effect on the three bars of the ham"bar"ger image? I've seen a few examples where hovering over the icon has an animation effect.

I'm afraid not. This is the SVG icon while those animated ones are made out of 3 separate SPAN or DIV elements. Sorry buddy!

What version of PRO are you using. There appears to be a difference between what you are showing, and what I'm seeing. (I am using PRO 3.0.8): After duplicating your initial steps up to point of naming the template, I then attempted to close the dialogue box to select an existing pop-up template. It will not close. Only option that works is to choose the red circle with white cross, which takes me to a settings section on the left side of screen with a heading of "elementor", not a heading of "Popup Settings" like you show. There is an obvious difference between the current version which I have and what you are showing (from Oct 2019). Can you do an update video with the current version of elementor PRO???

As far as I can tell, there was no significant change to the Popup interface (controls/options) ever since this video was created so I'm a bit confused. No matter what, there was a bug in Elementor that prevented modal window to close upon the template save. The bug is now resolved and I presume that all is good now at your end.

This is a wonderful tutorial. I've followed the process you have explained. Everything is exact. I have a question. In mobile mode, when I click a menu (toggle) button several times without stopping, off-canvas menu doesn't work. I tried this on 2 of my websites. It shows the same malfunction. Can you let me know what causes this problem?

Not sure mate... however, if it happens again, use Developer tools of your Browser to "catch" warnings or errors. If you do so, you'll know exactly what happened.

Your welcome! The only theme that I am using is Hello Elementor. You actually don't need any specific theme with Elementor. Astra and similar quasi-free themes are the things of the past...

To be honest, Elementor's Nav Menu widget is pure horror. Disaster. It's a lame implementation of SmartMenus. Nothing works as expected and the latest version of Elementor PRO brought even more issues. I wish I can help mate but my friendly advice is to find some 3rd party add-on when it comes to Menus.

I´m considered wheter a pop-up blocker could be a danger for this solution? Average Joe users sometimes don´t even notice the pop-up blocker notice. Am I wrong - anyone tested on that? Thx

I dont think adblocker will consider this a popup. My adblocker for example, check the content of the popup for ads/spam.

That's not the popup Window object of the Browser! Your Elementor popup sits hidden in the form of the HTML code, becoming visible on request. And I guess as such counts as a valid SEO element too.

I am still new to Elementor, but you make it seem very easy to create unique things! :) I have seen a cool type of hamburger menu on this site (www.hellobigidea.com) and it's NOT WordPress, but I'm wondering if there is a way to use Elementor Pro to create a similar effect (full screen with 2 columns that slide up opposite each other - very cool looking). I think it could work, but not sure. Thank you!!

Top notch tutorial again, Thank you! One thing that bothers me is that the nav menu isn't showing up in the page code as long as the pop up isn't activated. So SEO wise a big no go. Is there a workaround for this issue perhaps? Only clumsy workaround that I can think about is to hide the original menu by using the Z index, but I'm not sure if Google might penaltize that cos it's hidden.

HELPFUL TIP FOR AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE NAV POPUP AFTER CLICK ON NAV LINK: Btw to all the folks at Oooh Boi channel :D If you use Elementors popup functionality to create navigation menus, here is a jQuery script that automatically closes the nav popup, when a nav link is clicked (useful for using anchor links/tag links in popup nav). So it closes the popup and scrolls to the anchored section. Here the code is: jQuery( document ).ready(function($){ $(document).on('click','.elementor-location-popup a', function(event){ elementorProFrontend.modules.popup.closePopup( {}, event); }) }); How to add: Create HTML widget and move into the popup. Then save and close.

Do you have any information on the horizontal arrow showing different directions once clicked? Currently, the Sub menu arrow only shows itself pointing in one direction, down. I would like the arrow to point to the right when the sub-menu is closed/collapsed and the arrow points down when the sub-menu is open/expanded. How can I do that?

Please understand that none of my tutorials is any other WP theme related but "Hello Elementor". And I DO NOT recommend any other theme but "Hello Elementor" when dealing with Elementor.

The UI has changed at some point. I don't see the "popup settings" title at the top of the settings area. The Layout Settings just looks like any other template settings and there is no 'overlay' or 'close button'. To see these settings, you need to click on the settings sprocket down in the left corner, now.

At 12:28 you click the edit with Elementor and select to edit your header. Mine does not have the header option. Where did that come from? Was there a step that was skipped over? Now I'm just sitting here and not able to go any further. Everything was going perfectly until then. :O I watched another video that did this same thing. Where in the world is this header coming from?

I have noticed with the latest Elementor build that if I delete your code in the HTML element re-enter it then the template will no longer save. For me, this was ok as I just went back to an earlier version. But it does mean that you can not update the header if you wish to make some changes. This could be an error my end….?

That must have something to do with your Popup settings! Can't claim for sure but "Avoid Multiple Popups" should be off. In case it doesn't help, create the new popup, don't mess up with settings, just leave everything as is.

That's not a popup window buddy, that's so called modal window and IS part of the DOM. Why would AdBlocks "block" the DOM stuff? It has no means to do that nor it has been made with that purpose.

Hi, great tutorial!!!, I have an issue, in a one page web with anchor links in mobile view, when I clicked in a menu item go to anchor link but the popoup doesn't close, any ideas how to solve this? thanks!
