The patience and dignity you and your horse have is commendable and the stamina in holding your position. it looked like the horse was posing for the selfie at one point and actually seemed to be enjoying some of the gentler petting 🙂 you have him well socialised! Thank you for your service the both of you and for your grace in putting up with the public, it’s interesting to see the ones who actually have their own horse you can tell them a mile away!

I dislike this petting zoo! Why do the tourists need to touch the war horse. He’s on duty! Would they dare walk up to a working police dog to pet it, take hold of its leash? PROBABLY!!

What a beautiful horse. It amazes me how they can stay standing still for so long, especially when people keep coming up and touching them. It is a true testament to the work that goes into training them and selecting the right Horses in the first place. I can imagine at times people go too far and take liberties. I am actually surprised that people can still get right up close and are not sectioned off from touching. I really enjoyed watching this regiment and others at the Kings coronation ceremony.

Her again. Woman at 6:30 in green is the same woman trying to get her selfie in another video who wouldn’t listen to the guard telling her to move away from the horse. Does she stop for selfies every time she goes by because it doesn’t appear she cares for the horse much other than as a photo prop.

The guards horses are so well trained and very tolerant. Considering the shear number of hands that want to touch them every single minute they are on duty, their demeaner is amazing. I would not make a good guard horse...I'd be biting everyone! LOL!

That is a lady who knows her way around horses and this mount recognised this , also the respectful asking the guard for permission to touch, this was lovely and the little kiss made my day, thank you for catching this short moment ❤

I can imagine how distressing this must be for these poor horses (not to mention the guardsmen!) Bring surrounded by hundreds of moronic tourists, all wanting to touch. There should be a physical barrier between them

Read the horse, there was no distress at all. Now do I think every Tom, Dick and Harry needs to be petting the horse, no but it doesn't seem to distress this horse they are very well trained and socialized.

I think in fairness it's not as distressing as people are saying although I do understand it, I'm not a fan myself, but going from the body language alone the horse seemed very chilled about it all, incredible training and hours on the clock. Besides it's good to share the bond of Animals and humans alike.

There have been tourists of one type or another for hundreds of years, the guards and the horses are exceptionally well trained and are used to this. Of course everyone and every horse can have an off day, the guard will generally be very aware of the horses mood so if the guard tells you to keep back it's likely because they are just trying to protect you from being bitten or kicked, today the horse was clearly enjoying the attention. That said the guards, are an elite regiment, if they give you an order even if it's a very polite one that sounds like a request you would be very wise to obey. A ceremonial sword is still a real sword, not a movie prop, if they bring one down on you it's going to really wreck your day so please do as they ask

They’re like hounds I am quite sure everyone have seen horses in their lives. And the poor royal guards instead of taking their pictures with the royal guards, they have to lean on the guards and touch the guards when you’re not supposed to, that is a sign of disrespect what goes through the minds of half of those people? and the poor horses I know they get tired of them. That’s probably why they act out every now and then is hordes of people around them petting them they get tired of it to its madness

I think another cordon ought to be put right across….people can still have their photos taken from that point, but as someone else pointed out these are Horse Guards ON DUTY, their horses too! I understand the pleasure of stroking such. Beautiful horses, but I also notice how easy it can be to feed something disagreeable to them . Not only that, people seem to totally disregard the notice Warning horses can bite, kick etc, so they still touch… For the Guards peace of mind and the Safety of the horses someone please find a way of cordoning these guards with their charges.

Too crowded around the Guard and Horse…….everyone should stay away from them…..these tourist act as if they’ve never seen a man or a horse?? I’m surprise they allow this….you can look from a distance, but leave them alone!
