I am confused someone got shot. Because they made a comment to an off-duty officer. So you telling me by making a comment to an officer you get shot for it.
Was it just a trigger happy rookie ? i guess we will find out sooner or later but a cop is never really off duty they may be kickin it with family but they always have powers of arrest 24/7 kinda makes me wonder if he payed attention while training and maybe he missed the part about arresting a suspect and only shooting them if you have no other choice.
Man or women just about all of them are emotional and we know women, are emotional because that's how "God" made them and far as you guys on the job get your act together and stop being a little sissy.

Not even close bro. The officer will spend 6 months to a year on a desk. Worst case he'll transfer to another district of maybe up to Westchester County. The guy who got shot will get 100k max. After lawyers and hospital bills, he'll pocket 30k and spend ot within 1 years time.
Every time you here the police saying that they are getting conflicting witness stories of what happened, that means the off duty officer was wrong because they can't find a witness saying the off duty officer was right. I promise you that!
Ask "The Innocence Project" how many people spend decades in jail for crimes they didn't commit because of unreliable eye witness testimony. Your logic is "eerie, meenie, miny, moe," not based on scientific or intellectual analysis. No different than when the police lie on some of you or you are tried in the media of public opinion and get the short end of the stick.
I see so many posts on this insadient, but no one knows the real reason why this happened. Let's just leave it up to the investagorts to pull the footage from the cameras and interview everyone who was there. The real truth will come out. I pray for both people. I just put my faith in God. There’s no off duty when you’re behind the badge it’s 24/7 to serve and protect and it’s a split second decision to be made on if or when to discharge your weapon!!!!!!
He probably didn’t understand what the man said if the man had a heavy accent. He will say his life was threatened. The police union will coach him thru.
If the other person doesn't have a weapon the off duty officer is at fault just because you have a gun legally doesn't mean you should use it in excessive situations accountability must be held here

All this weird stuff going on in the world and the comics have always written about how the police are not funded enough to catch that many bad people imagine if spiderman came to our reality “he is from New York “ and became a real life hero .
This is the problem when you hire new cops coming out of the academy fresh they don't know how to behave they don't know how to have a firearm next to them they just out of control and not only that they are super scared. A lot of individuals go and take a test and become a cop just to have a shield and a firearm and to feel powerful but in the inside they are Straight Scared. The best thing for this rookie cop is just come out and say the truth he messed up really bad. He is not meant to be a cop. You don't need college to become a cop those that have college are the ones that are out here doing the wrong things in the street. And you know why is because they not street smart. Is all about wearing a uniform without having Street Smart. And if the individual that he shot was unarmed there's going to be a lot of questioning so his best bet is just come out clean say what it is put the truth out there and take it like a man
His wife or girlfriend I guess I could say boyfriend also probably works at the furniture store and she called him or he called him to try out his new skills because they didn't agree with how the costumer was acting over the high prices. Or the guy had a cane in his hand and raised it while yelling and he with his gun shot it out of his hand from fifteen ft away. Hmm there has to be another scenario let me think. What color is the cop and what color was who he shot? One had an accent the other didn't. I wonder why that is important to tell the public?
