Hey guys, we fried up some chicken on the SilverFire Hunter stove using wood pellets for fuel. Thanks for watching, and God bless.

I think the pellets compact as they burn and prevent the rest from catching fire. Great video. I resuse my oil by allowing it to settle, strain it and burn it in my small Yanmar Diesel tractor mix it at least 50/50 with diesel fuel. Smells like fried chicken but it gets the most out of my purchase.

Suggestion, save dryer lint from dryer and it makes perfect fire starter material. Pull some of the lint from a coffee can, stretch it out thin, place in with wood sticks and light with a fire place lighter and lint burns slow enough that it will ignite sticks with no problem. Re purpose for the lint from dryer that comes in handy for fire starting.

I'm jealous of your new outdoor kitchen! just wish I could talk homeowners association into letting me build one. chicken looks so good!!! Dickies - LOL can you stir or shake up the pellets from the bottom air vent?
@oldtimerlee8820
@oldtimerlee8820 10 лет назад
buckeyeimaging Just use whatever is allowed in your backyard to build one. You don't need a block wall. For example, a metal topped table, picnic table, even a wheelbarrow with a piece of plywood across it can serve the same purpose. Or, you can order or make one of these. www.campchef.com/cooking-accessories/camp-tables/camp-table-with-legs-38.html A layer of patio paving stones laid on a sheet of plywood on top of a wheelbarrow can become an outdoor kitchen. A layer of sand in a kid's Radio Flyer wagon can also become one. Depending on your budget, you can build a kitchen on wheels that stays in your garage when not in use. Many options to choose from, such as carts & mobile bases used for making large pieces of woodworking machinery mobile. Hand trucks, dollies, platform trucks or some combo can work when mobility is needed. www.amazon.com/b?node=553520 Spend some time with Google search. DIY camp kitchen will turn up a wide variety of ways to have an outdoor kitchen when you hear the word NO. For example, modify this concept. Build A Camp Kitchen and Camp Storage Trailer www.motherearthnews.com/nature-and-environment/camp-kitchen-zmaz86mjzgoe.aspx#axzz2yreSANHm Or ..... More Camp Kitchens scoutmastercg.com/camp_kitchens/ As long as you have space the size of a sheet of plywood that you can make fire resistant, think out side of the box, so you can fry up some chicken nuggets outdoors. :-) Bet ya a buck, there's a way you can do it and stay out of trouble with your HOA. ;-)

The oil does not burn. The flour burns. Strain your used oil through cheese cloth and get a few more batches out of it. I am sure there are conditions that could burn the oil, but not in a chicken-frying scenario. Otherwise, good job cooking and good luck.

great upload bro, thanks !!! looks like u got a hair cut ? whats the difference that you notice between sticks and that bedding ? do u find the sticks burn faster ? i would think they would, unless you chop the sticks to small lighter size and then fill the stove. could you add like a chicken wire mesh cup, to the bottom of the stove, preventing the clog.? what i mean is, like take some chicken wire mesh, bend the sides down so it sets up right in the bottom, and use that as a base, to put the pellets on, that way, the ash falls through the mesh, but doesnt clog up at the bottom ?

Great video, that stove is great, I hope this isn't a stupid question , but why does it have a chimney ? Is it part of the gasifyer system ? Also does it seem like it is durable ? How is it holding up ? I love your channel , you are like a reincarnation of my uncle Cobb.
@jnull0
@jnull0 8 лет назад
+bushbaby 1 The chimney is there so the stove can vent while the cooking pot is on top. I have been using it for a couple of years and it is very durable, it is often left in the weather and is holding up great. I really like it....................J

While I appreciate knowing that you can burn the pellets as well, I thought the whole idea was doing this at the biggest cost savings possible -- i.e. free sticks in the woods? That bag is $6.99. I guess keep it for when the weather makes it hard to find dry wood? Not trying to be critical, just wondering why you would use pellets you have to buy?

a Fresnel lens can cook all your foods needs in winter or summer depending on if the sun is shinning. a must have in off grid because you can boil water with this. also to heat your home if lens is big enough. all it is, is a coiled copper pipe sandwiched in between to two iron plates. the Fresnel lens sunlight is magnified on the iron plate that heats the copper pipe inside the pipe is water that heats up and hot water goes out in one side of pipe while cold water circulates back in to heat up and it constantly circulates hot water in pipes that heats the home. TOTALLY FREE. except the cost to set it up in your home. Heck , the apartment building I live in uses a boiler to heat water to heat the building. a Fresnel lens will do this. GARENTEED. be careful with these lenses, if focused to much, it can melt iron.
