I vote for a permanent campsite in your woods with a tent pad, picnic table, fire pit, lantern hooks, and a permanent cable over the tent pad so you can put a tarp over the tent (high enough to stand up under). Maybe even some benches and/or a porch swing. It would be epic.

you should start a new family tradition of getting a live tree for christmas each year and then planting it on your property in the new year. you have some much land and those trees would become a living legacy of your stewardship of that land. Besides, you'd be able to point to those trees later in life and have so many wonderful memories, especially when your children a grown up and can look back and see the forest you created for them! just a thought...

I remember watching one of your first videos sitting in your car crying and wondering what the heck had you done and what were you doing in the middle of nowhere. The "Wild plum" looks like a persimmon tree to me. We had them in our yard when I was growing up. We had plums as well, and there's a difference between the two.

Watching these two often makes me wish my dreams of having a family had come true. Over 40 year carpenter that had hoped to find a mate that would want to learn and be part of building or remodeling our home. Designed and built two new ones, but always by myself. I just failed at the family making part, that's all that can be said. Maybe next life. A lot of peoples dreams don't work out, Happy for those that did.

Kenzie, your "wild plum" tree is actually a persimmon tree. The fruit is delicious, but you must make sure that it's squishy soft to be sweet and edible. If it's not, you will get a very bitter taste and your mouth will feel like it's lined with cotton. I'm from northeast Oklahoma, and grew up eating these every year. Also, if you cut the seeds in half, it will show a spoon, knife, or fork in each one. The old timers in our area would predict the winter with them. A spoon represents a shovel for snow, a knife represents chopping ice, and a fork represents early planting. And the "pear tree" is a black walnut tree. Gather them up, pour them on your driveway, run over them to break the green outer hull, let them dry( you don't want black stain on your skin), then gather up, crack the inner shell and enjoy the nutmeats inside. Great in ice cream, cookies, cake, salad, or as a snack. By the way, your home and furnishings are beautiful.

You are doing a great job with the finishing touches. We had thousands of lady bugs that would come every year just before the first frost and take take residence in our shed. They go dormant and lay upside down. In the spring they all fly away.

Spencer I really liked how you did the trim in your bathroom. The way you carried the bottom and top, all the way across both windows. Been here since the beginning and it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come and how professional in all aspects you guys have grown. From starting out with no experience in the building field to building your own home, plumbing, electrical, solar and custom work, it is so inspirational and it shows that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. And as far as the channel goes, I love the photography in the woods, exploring and relaxing walks, the videography and editing is of such a professional level.
