One of your best, without a hurricane... I am a winter RU-vid addict, and you are among my favorite as my retirement pastime is sports and watching folks like you when I am not out camping... I suppose it is different if you grow up in Canada or Alaska, or Siberia, but in my opinion it takes a special type of person to seem to enjoy it! I live in Tennessee where we lose two to three months a year to cold weather. Right now, our trees are budding leaves and the new grass is coming up as the north is snowing still. I will be planting a garden in a couple weeks. The days are 60s to 70s, and the nights are in the 40s F. At the 23 minute mark there was a ghost inside the shed as he was getting wood...

Your precious dog is looking for more affection from you when you put the sweater on him he’s looking at you and you could be a lot more affectionate. He hast to put up with all the stuff you want him to handle.

I used to have 6 month emergency food for my dog just in case because we do not know it can be weather, or disasters… You have family so need to prepping a lot. Lot is work to be done all the time. Thanks for sharing with us.

A good home remedy that my grandma did for us when we had a cold: slug of whiskey in a cup with hot water, lemon juice, sugar ( think of like whiskey tea hot toddy); then gave us two aspirin and slathered Vicks Vapo-Rub on our chests, put us in flannel pj’s and we slept most of the cold off. It made us sweat it out. I’ve used it for my kids. Of course I’m 64 so this was back in the day when you could do this and the slug was a teaspoonful up to tablespoon but when it was more into our 20’s she’d put more in.

I would love to watch day to day. I am doing the same thing..management of a 40 year old home with lots of issues. Being able to watch you inspires me....especially since your motto is "good enough"....it doesn't have to be perfect as long as it works for you. This attitude has taken a lot of pressure off of me and makes things easier. But if I have to be honest....I would watch anything...property maintenance or camping....because of Boomer 😂

Thank you for sharing your reality. Its easy to think of getting an off grid property and just living without the reality of what that entails. If you dont feel well.....wood still needs to be cut, water needs to be managed, etc....

Im curious how your security cameras can function without wifi? Pretty 'ballsy' of someone to cut your chain across the driveway... hope you didn't have theft and/or damage beyond that.
