Off Kilter was my favorite part of Epcot. I bought a couple of their albums when I was a kid about 15 years ago and still listen to them. Just went this week and really felt their absence; that park doesn't have much of a draw for me without them.
Disney made a HUGE mistake 'retiring' this act from EPCOT. The crowd for the last show was enormous. It stretched from the Rose & Crown pub through Canada. I estimated it about 500 people, but I could be way off. It was packed, overflowing, and enthusiastic. The park is going to lose regular guests without this band there to draw them to come back again and again and....
While I like Off Kilter a lot, the park will do just fine with out them. Trust me. I'd like to see them come back for a special visit once in a while, that would be fantastic.
GrandpaNash Having just watched the lumberjack show I now agree with you, this was a horrible mistake. My god, what were they thinking? What a shit show the replacement is.I also think that crowd was closer to 800. My guess is the lumberjack show will last two years if they are lucky.
Attractions can and will close, but a ride can't wow you the way that Off Kilter did on their final performance. Last night Off Kilter wasn't a cover band at a theme park they were rock stars, because we love them and wanted them to know how much they will be missed. I'd like to see the three headed troll over at Maelstrom tell the final boat of guests that "you've made tonight one of the best days of our lives" like Jamie told us before the first of three encores.
I miss them so much. I was blessed to be able to be there on their last day of performance and got to catch their very last performance. Canada Pavilion will never be the same without you. Looks like I would just have to download their music and play it when I am in the area :'-(
One of my most favorite things to see at Epcot! One of the reasons I buy an annual pass! Cannot believe Disney would get rid of them.....big mistake Disney!!!
We were there and the guys did a great job as usual. Very professional, entertaining and thankful to all their fans. Especially loved the next to last set with "Whiskey in the Jar" & "Alive", my 2 favorites.
After seeing them for so many years, this video both makes me happy and depresses me at the same time. Happy for them for the great turnout for their final show, and depressed that the Canadian Pavilion will have a huge vacuum that won't be filled, and how much I'll miss seeing them.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to film this is such great quality. I was so upset I could not be there this weekend and I am grateful to be able to watch it today. Absolutely insane crowd and great performance!!!
I was at Epcot this year Dec 7th 2015. I travelled from the UK and went to Epcot to see you (after seeing you live on 3 previous occasions) and you have moved on. May I say what a pleasure it was to have seen you live and I wish you all the success in the future.
They played at the Celtic Festival in Ormond Beach 04/13/2019 and 04/14/2019 the Bagpiper lives in Ormond Beach so I bet they will be playing locally on occasions
Sad to see these guys not playing anymore at EPCOT. They were my best performance. Saw them at the 2019 Celtic Festival in Ormond Beach, one hour show.
Thank you so much for posting this wdwmagic folks! I was unable to make it there for the final and I am going to be really bummed when I take my family up in December and to not see them perform.
Watching Off kilter was always a tradition for me when going to Epcot. Now I have to hear chainsaws while I'm enjoying my beer from the uk? This sucks. :-(
Who do I complain to that the new show in the Canadian pavilion is boring and they should bring back Off Kilter. I mean seriously. I pass by it to get to something more interesting like the Flower and Garden Festival Concert Series. There is nothing fun to do in Epcot's World Showcase anymore.
That song is the Canadian National Anthem "O Canada". My father sang it at every Boston Bruins game against the Canadians even though he was from Boston, Massachusetts.
