Mechanical Locking Differential (MLD) are usually supplied by Eaton India. It engages when there's difference of rotation between two tires at rear axle. In our case, the differential we sourced was from scrap, so it didn't work well. Would get a better differential next time to review it better.
I'd make a video on proper use of Winch too.

Give a burst of acceleration to lock MLD, wont engage with such gentle application, best way to test is on diagonal ruts in 2wd. MLD does wonders to Scorpio's 4wd capability because in stock form it is really mediocre and poor on uneven ground.

Rear axle was making awkward sounds yesterday, went to mechanic for it's rectification. The locker is sourced from scrap, so I think it has some sort of issues. We'd try to get a new one now. Patiala has a Tank Training area, and that'd be perfect for our testing... 😁

जब गाड़ी के पिछले दोनों पहियों में एक पहिया फ्री या हवा में होता है तब MLD एंगेज होता है। आपकी गाड़ी के पिछले दोनों पहिये जमीन पर रखे हैं और ऊपर से 4WD एंगेज कर रखा है, MLD एंगेज नहीं होगा।

Abhi MLD remove karwaya, coz wo used install kiya tha, aur kaam ni kiya uss din. Next time proper use ka hi video banaunga.

The MLD here was a faulty piece, getting new MLD this week. Would check it soon.

Don't know if heavy duty rear axle of Storme is available in the market, but have seen in Army Safari storme GS800 unlike the regular Storme, where the rear axle is a heavy duty and may be MLD can be fit in.

MLD works best at 2WD position on RWD.

We tested it in 2wd too, didn't work at all, so we're looking forward for a proper fitment of another MLD.

MLD was bought from a scrap, it seems good, but didn't work. Now getting it changed to a working one.

@@HimSafari4x4 Thanks bro, I actually haven't purchased car yet, I'm confused between Scorpio Classic S ( base variant ) & bolero neo (n10 opt ) which comes with MLD, both have same price. Which one do you think is better deal, any suggestion would be helpful :)

@@manish7512 Get Scorpio Classic then, it has better looks, more space and power than Bolero Neo. Bolero Neo has better mileage though.
