this really drives me nuts, if you put a master boxer versus a master grappler the grappler wins almost every time but yet grappling really gets no love on the main stream and boxing dose 🤔

Grappling is much more complex both visually and tactically speaking. I'm not trying to down play boxing because boxing is still very complex but, from a visual standpoint it's much easier to understand what's going on i.e. this guy is getting punched in the face a lot more than the other guy. The casual fight fan who doesn't grapple in any capacity isn't going to understand positioning because grappling is the only sport where you can literally be laying on your back with another man standing over you and yet you somehow are in a more advantageous position.

@@fartface2248 more advantageous position lying onthe floor? lol This is why sport JJ doesnt holld a candle to real JJ,. On the ground, I can stab you, kick you, poke ypu, burn you, throw gas on you etc....big difference between sport and real worls. But I do agree with your analogy about watching as a viewer and tryong to understand whats happening.

@@backseatsamurai Lol I 100% agree with you in the real world aspect. I was just responding to why bjj doesnt get the same tv hype as boxing and it's because it much to intricate . sport jiu jitsu of course doesn't translate very well to the real world BUT it is the only martial art that really highlights fighting from a non dominant position.
