Load em up on D! We had enormous scoring power last year. We can afford (in pts) to lose a Forward. I dont know how Gillis is going to juggle the numbers though. After the end of last year I am surprised I am looking forward to next year.
Bieksa has had a rough couple years mainly attributed to injury. You can see he has potential to be a great defenceman which is why I hope he stays next year to see if he can turn things around. I think giving up on him would be a mistake by the Canucks. I know lots of fellow Vancouverites would disagree with me but that is my opinion.
@LegendaryGoetz He's still under contract. But with Bieksa, the team is 8-9 deep in defencemen, so he seems to be the most moveable. One reason they could justify keeping him is for a right handed shot on the point, but then again they have Salo.
@gangsterdrester im not talking about this years playoff...but is his history with injuries.............. look at hamius and ballard play time,,,,,certainly the canucks are trying to address this problem and looking for reliable D....health wise with set of skills.
along with sedinds. and linden... and burrows.. probably 1 of the best players CANUCKS players to put on this jersey. die hards know..... its daniel trevor henrik kesler burrows hansen..... bieksa. salo . Ohlund.edler
I dont particularly want him traded, it just that someone must go (if we want keep Raymond), and Bieksa, Erhoff and Edler aer the only $3M+ dmen without no-trade clauses. That's a pretty clear choice, unless the Canucks get massive overpayment for one of those other two.
Kevin is a good guy, he seems pretty down to earth. I love how he is pretty honest on this talk show, and he speaks his mind xD... the guy asking the questions seems like a douche. Can anyone tell me if they signed him or anything? If not, i hope they do. Canucks need him. xD
@SirBarneyGumble: I think Bieksa was a liability when he was coming off injury but a new year is a fresh start. It is hard to be off for months and then be at your best right away. I think if we get rid of anyone, and this pains me to say it, but Salo should be the odd man out. He's old and he is made of glass. I love Salo and I have defended him in the past but we need durability and even though Kevin has had bad luck with injury, he is young. How much more can Salo honestly take?
"How much product does Roberto Lunongo put in his hair?" "Uh I dunno. Not as much as people think he does. I think he's got a natural sort of...grease to it...Sorry Lu!" Haha oh Kevin
ya trade salo....he dissappear around playoff and most of the season....groin...etc... Bieksa is a solid D....not everygame but good enough....price is indeed high but be nice to a guy pls....
Kinda funny... all the people commenting on the video have no idea who Michael Landsberg is. Guess this just supports the fact Canucks fans know fuck all about hockey.
it was a mismatch again chicago because the Canucks never a had a healthy line up to start the playoff while the Hawks mostly played the whole finals....... now lets see the Hawks vs Canucks again....
@xxxnaekoxxx5 Voted by... other Canuck fans? Right. Post a link, otherwise I'm inclined to believe you're just another bandwagon fan who showed up around the time they won the presidents trophy.
does anyone actually enjoy listening to landsberg? hes a terrible interviewer, doesn't know his facts (mis pronounces everyones name), and is completely self absorbed
