This is how sneaker collaborations should be. A redesigned shoe and not just a colour change. It's so underwhelming when collabs just change the colours.

Dope review, wasn't expecting to see a review for these already! I love the whole construction of the whole collection; packaging and everything. Good job showing the details reviewing the sneaker, definitely a grail.
Not a fan of the deconstructed look or the quotation marks all over the place but it's so dope you got a shoe you wanted this early and got to meet the designer.
Congratulations on a dope pickup. Personally, I understand that this is more of an art piece than something I'd wear. I can appreciate the art of the sneaker and Abloh's vision, but I don't see them as wearable IMO. Does that make sense? At first glance - during the leaks, I thought (and still think) they're ugly AF as a wardrobe piece. But as a piece of art, that's a different story.
wutchamacallit quite honestly I believe that's how he wants you to feel. People often forget that art isn't always meant to be pretty just as much as they forget that sneakers are a product of art. Functional art. But still art.

for me it’s the whole reconstruction and different materials used compared to original Jordan 1s. I don’t consider this to be a sneaker that’s meant for functional use, it’s more of a fashion/aesthetic artifact that an art museum could keep to exhibit.
people are completely missing the point of the shoe. the attention to detail involved with giving it a "deconstructed" or "prototype' appeal is the entire point. its suppose to emphasize on things people don't typically see in released shoes. the average person sees leather, stitching and a swoosh. this gives the average person a view behind the scenes of what exactly goes into the process of designing a show. it lets you peek into the designers mind, not just the end product.
I know it's not "og" but I really wish they put full length zoom in all the 1s. I have the royals and the midsole is super uncomfortable. You wouldn't be an visual difference so why not?
Jordan 1's feel like Chuck Taylors, I've had a ton of 1's, my favorite pairs where the original Old Love/ New Love pack. They had those memory foam insoles, other than that, yeah. All 1's feel like you're walking barefoot

I've been back in fourth previously on how I feel about the whole collection. But the more I see the ones, I'm just in love with them. They are extremely fascinating to me and I love seeing all the fine details out into it, to make it different. Besides the ones, I would love to get the blazers, prestos, and the Air Force ones!
I think the clean look for these would be really cool. Like without the red tag, the flaps connected with the lacing and maybe the ends of the laces tucked into the actual shoe. I think it would look dope.
It's not the point it's the vibe of the shoe it's the same thing as to why people pay more for ripped jeans. If deconstructed clothing is not just about oh it's ripped or not finished why pay more it's all about the look.
I wish it wasn’t hyped up because I’m in love with this design. The air Jordan 1 Chicago is literally my favorite shoe and colorway but I will never be able to afford this shoe.
It would be funny if they came out and said "this was a social experiment to see how many people would pay thousands of dollars for a shoe we found in the dumpster and duplicated"

When i went to Florida on vocation i’d go crazy over these shoes and everytime we went to the house i watched video’s about this shoe. But then one day i found this vid but we were going from orlando to Miami and i was so upset i couldnt watch this video in the car and when we got there i wanted to go and watch the video and then i couldnt find it any were and now i finally found it!
