My name is Oli AKA Offbeat. I’m a rapper from the UK who performs (mainly) comedy lyrics over (mainly) Swing-inspired beats.
I say “mainly” because I find it hard to pigeonhole myself. My motto is "Make sh*t you love and if other people like it that's a bonus".
My goal is to entertain but even more so to connect. I want people to hear my music and get that feeling that someone has gone through the same thing as them and gets it. Somebody once described my music as “Those little details in life that everyone knows but nobody says” and I think that about sums it up perfectly 😁
Since 2014 I have released 5 solo EP’s, a full length album, numerous singles and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Electro Swing scene including Wolfgang Lohr, Odd Chap and Balduin.
In 2017 I formed the (now disbanded) group The Swinghoppers and in our brief but impressive tenure released 2 EP’s, a collaboration with Steampunk/Chap Hop extraordinaire Professor Elemental, played major festivals and released the single ‘Party Like It’s 1920’ which currently has over 4m streams on Spotify.
In 2024 I released my "FREE.P" which is a collection of 4 exclusive tracks only available to members of my Mailing List, with secret streaming links on Spotify/Apple Music, as well as 4 full length videos. You can grab a copy for free here: iamoffbeat.com....
