The blocking TE is actually overpowered if you work the system. Recruit an Agile OL gem who's fast and strong, then change him to a TE in the offseason. If he's good, he'll instantly have all the purple blocking badges and pancake everyone on the field like a monster. His catching will be trash, but it's the first thing that will develop. By his 2nd year after offseason training, he'll be a capable receiving TE as well as a beast in the trenches

I had a unicorn elusive back on my coastal rebuild he got drafted with 99 spd acc, cod, juke and spin at 6’1 and his back up was a power back with 98 spd. I miss them already 😂

Just need EA to patch the Power OL recruits so they don’t just level up Pass Block Power twice instead of Finesse. This game been out for 2 months and they still haven’t fixed it. Idk how much that even matters play to play but it’s hitting my OCD like crazy

Idk bro I’ve seen more 99 speed Physical Receivers than Deep Threats and 50/50 is a CRAZY ability. Cutter ability is CUHRAZY on the route runners they just have to be slot guys most of the time. Power O Linemen are the way to go I’ve found, that strength rating matters so much and the game doesn’t make a lot of finesse rushers.

Just recruited a 4 star Power Back with the Elite development trait because running on my boys is the best way to beat them.

4 or 5 star Blocking TE can make a good FB since FB can only be a 3 star max.

Just did 3yrs with a scrambling Qb hated it honestly. If you like that play style then i recommend cause his speed off the read option was crazy! But I like to stay in the pocket and slang ‘em!! Field General is my go to. Also scrambling Qbs usually don’t have good throwing power or accuracy.

If you change players positions during the season. Qbs=scramblers, rbs=receiving, fb=blocking, wr=deep threat, te=blocking, OL=pass pro, DE/DT/OLB=power rusher, mlb=field general, cb=slot, FS/SS=hybrid, kicker/punter=accurate. The overall will change but the individual ratings do not. Plenty of room to cheese development. Recruit a field general, move away and then back to qb to make him a scrambler then redshirt. Get the accuracies and hope for more speed boosts during training. My favorite though is recruiting agile OL and making them pass pros. They get the run blocking from the archetype but develop pass blocking once moved.

I found 2 gem blocking TE and they have attributes and stats of vertical threats. Rare but don’t sleep on em

Speed definitely kills in this game. I’ve returned punts and kickoffs just by putting my fastest receiver back there 😂

Physical is actually better than deep theat because of their ability to break tackles and catch 50/50 balls. If you catch a safety on a physical WR, throw it up.

Dont sleep on power back, they some dawgs in the redzone

Field general QBs get the best stats in sim

I was a powerback all day everyday kinda guy but then I did a dynasty where I only recruit 1 stars and my 78 overall 5’6 175 lbs elusive back changed my mind. Change of direction is a game changer especially against MWC and MAC defenses. You don’t even need to use the right stick and you can juke the whole defense with the left stick and because of his small stature he can literally slip under defenders on cut backs.

When I need a FB I recruit a blocking TE and convert him. Gem 4* turns into 90 FB sometimes.

All of this really depends on your play style. Speed kills, but size and power are still very viable if you know how to use it.

I just put my 85 deep threat WR into a receiving HB he turned 99 lol

ATH Agile Centers turn into great TE 99OVL catch speed and blocking

A lot of the time I’ll find the big guy route runner WRs and move them to TE. Obviously the tiny guys don’t work for that, but still

I think route runners are heavily underrated best badges out of all of wr's and they can still get 97 speed and i swear height dont matter on this game

Man the improvisers are so slept on, imo they profess better, have better caps and just play different, my fav QB archetype by far

QB-scrambler RB-receiving or elusive (I value speed) X-physical Z-deep threat S-route runner (need him getting open vs OLB/S because I’m not sending him deep all the time) Y-vertical threat (Kyle Pitts) H-Utility or blocking TE T-Power G-Agile (for pulls) C- Pass protector

Id never recruit a blocking TE, id just recruit a good agile OL prospect (ideally with the Team Player mental) and switch him over

I get those receiving backs all the time and play them as my slot receiver and allow another RB to play most the time

Power Backs are the absolute #1 best archetype of any position. They absolutely dominate and can catch just fine

That’s a fact. I brought in a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ATH scrambler but he wouldn’t start yr 1 so I put him at HB1. He’s now a 93 OVR junior receiving back that just won “best Runningback” w/ 1800 yds and like 16 tubs. Coach mode at Nevada on All American

I found one route runner that was good as a rb. He was a 76wr his Jr year and jumped to 83 as a rb. Halfway through his senior year and he's a 97 RB. Other than that, I haven't had much luck with the route runners

Elusive Back is way better than receiving back. You can take a short speed received at RB and hes always better than a receiving back. Elusive Backs and Power Backs dont get as good overalls, because the overall is so dependent on receiving but elusive and power backs are much better runners and breaking tackles.

The problem with elusive backs is that change of direction and agility that makes them shifty usually works the best when they're shorter than 6 foot. Too many elusive backs are 6 foot or taller in recruiting and they rarely have more acceleration or speed than power or receiving backs to justify it.

Pass protectors (elite level) are the only ones that can grow to have good run and pass blocking footwork and power. Power lineman get beat by speed rushers and agile get beat by power rushers. I recruit pass protectors at both tackle positions and either agile or power tackles and move them to guards.

When I think of elusive back, I think Shady McCoy or Steve Slaton. Seems they run way too stiff in the game though. I haven’t been able to get a legit back yet

Speaking of changing wr to Rb today I couldn’t change the position of any of of my wr during that week?! Idk if it was a glitch or has anyone has this happen? I could change any other position as normal

i found some of the best running backs i found are athlete scrambling qb and athlete physical wr when you switch them to rb they been better the actual rb recruits ive found . i had a 5 star scramble qb switched him to rb he was 88 overall true freshman year and 95 the next year

The meta is to find a player with a certain archetype that has attributes of a different archetype.. example find physical WRs with high speeds; vice versa Deep threat WRs with high catching or route running.. Most ppl already do it with QBs recruiting scramblers with high throw power. i recruit field generals with high speed.
