He had such a unique charm and adorable-ness, mixing sincerity and genuine kindness with awkwardness and ignorance, all while still feeling like he could be a real person you could meet. I can't decide whether this was really cute or really creepy. I had an acquaintance who did similar things. They started out innocent and kinda cute and it took me too long to see the creepyness underneath. The "it wasn't me, I don't know how that happened, you surely do not want to check that, right? Call every day with obviously fabricated stuff, but you surely don't mind, right? Come over to your workplace and make you pay attention to me only, right? Talk behind your back and eventually start false rumors to make you rely only on me, right?" stayed the same, only it started to turn into gaslighting and blaming me for things, mind games, and such. I was half expecting that turn of events in this and half repeating to myself that this is Tanuki and Tanuki does not do that creepy stuff. But I would definitely not go on a date with this kind of guy, shy or not. Mayor alarm bells and red flags for me, personally. Once would have been fine, but that many in such a short time? No, no.
