Officer Requesting Prayers To Be Held Outside The Park 

This Policeman, who happens to be a Muslim, is excellent. A credit to the Police and his faith.

As a practising muslim...the cop is doing his job...go pray outside the park, simple.

As a Muslim myself why would you prayer in public where there is noise and dusturbance going on all around you!! The whole purpose of salah is to be at one with God in complete silence and in an environment where there are no distractions! Go home and prayer, go to a local mosque and prayer!

I used to work with this officer and he continuously displays integrity and has a common sense approach to both policing and morality. He is a humble man and deserves respect for his patience with the crowd.

I'm a Muslim, come on brothers this isn't the Muslim corner. There's a mosque not too far from the corner that you can pray in. There're other spaces in the park that you can occupy for a couple minutes and then return to the park. Have some adab and think about your actions.

Imagine having the opposite discussion with the police in a muslim country

It is a Royal Park ...Property of Rayality "The Queen" not a public property . And it is the royal order not to pray in congregation. It is like if someone comes in your front garden outside your home private property and starts praying. So adhere to the policy guys and chill .

If you have something to complain then raise an official complaint to the police. The policeman is one of the most gentle we have seen.

The right way is to do that you gather all creeds and put forth a request / a petition to the Queen to allow everyone to pray as there is no harm in it. And get the permission.

So let me understand....someone (Royal Parks) owns and maintains the park and sets rules for their own property to be observed by those who use their property. Regardless if people have been going against the rules for X amount of years, it's respectful to observe the rules for someone's property, which this should be observed by all faith groups. As one of the officers said you can pray outside of the park. Why, because you're not restricted and not overstepping the rules of someone's property. Is the issue praying or praying in that particular space in London?

Law is the Law, there are lots of park regulations separate from standard law outside. I can`t rock up with a soundsystem and put on a party, even if people love it and no one complains, due to park regulations (and I have actually tested this), I don`t agree with it, but it is what it is. These guys are being twats just to be twats. The regs are the regs.

I am a Muslim, men have to offer prayers at the mosque. It is not also giving dahwah or calling people to Islam, by going to the park with cameras and contradicting Islam. If you want to find about Islam go and find the scholars in Islam, who been around before these kids come into this world.
