A community continues to mourn the tragic death of Euclid Police Officer Jacob Derbin, shot dead last week in what was described as an ambush as he responded to a domestic violence call. The man who shot him later died by suicide. Derbin's funeral is Saturday and the community, as well as the law enforcement community, will be out in force.
The state law requiring districts to come up with student cell phone policies moved through the legislature fast than a teen can text OMG. Governor DeWine signed it this week.
Akron public schools are bracing for cuts to close a big budget hole.
And it appears #recreationalmarijuana approved in November by voters, will finally be for sale next month after licensing rules for dispensaries cleared a big legislative hurdle this week.
We will discuss these stories and more on this week's Reporters Roundtable. (Air date: May 17, 2024).
