Officer Dubon, thanks for the great video and tips on the Board process. I’m in the middle of putting together my packet with my OSO for the Winter Board.
Super helpful. Just graduated college, albeit with not a great gpa in computer science. Currently working on finishing my pilot license and getting as close to max pft score as possible. I live in Mississippi but your videos have given me hope, so just may reach out to you soon to fulfill my dream of serving my country as a pilot, or a combat role of some kind.
Kind off. Any type of STEM degree is better but if you dont have one, make sure the rest of your application is strong (PFT, GPA, letters of recommendations, OSO recommendation)
my OSO Captain would not even consider doing ANY paperwork if he didn't believe you would make it! I was one of the few who thought would... i met this guy at MEPS, and he said my Captain denied him. i did not know what to say.... GOOD LUCK FUTURE MARINES! Oorah!
Is there any difference in applying for prior enlisted Marines? I got out in 2015 as an E4 and am in my Junior year of college. Just curious as to if there is different rules for us. Thanks
First and foremost, thanl you for posting these informative videos. I was wondering, of you have prior service, would it be too much to put those things on there? I understand that it helped mold me to who i am today, but would they rather see something fresh, because maybe "the past is yesterday".
Right now, they are both around the 55-60 percent selection rate. Some years air will be higher or lower than ground but this year, they are about the same. Reserves right now has a high selection rate though.
What if you haven’t done much in college, but you know from past combat leaders, like dick winters and Ulysses S. Grant, what it means and takes to be a leader and a good combat leader?
