Excellent breakdown as usual. Monday night, I had the good fortune to stay in a hotel with several scouts. I talked a little shop with them, told them about your channel and your excellent breakdowns. Barton was one name that kept coming up, his versatility impressed them. He played gaurd, both tackles and played center in the senior bowl. He stands out in a draft dominated by O linemen who are postion specific, many right tackles who struggled at left tackle when used there. I think he will go a bit earlier,like around 15-20th A couple of the believed Leggett from South Carolina is going to be a huge steal in the draft. He was finally utilized in thier offense. Leggett ran a 4.29,4.30 at one workout. 6'2 225. He is a devastating blocker too.

Thank you!! Sounds like you had a great time! The two players that you named are two that I am very familiar with… interested to see that you have Barton going in that 15-20 range, I think MIA will look heavily into Barton.. Legette can fit a multitude of spots with his ability as a WR.. out of the NFL channels that I tune in to , I think im pretty early to the Barton party. 😂😂 I could be wrong , but don’t see as many people talking about him he’s one of my favorites.

One of the most- if not THE most thorough no-hype mock drafts I’ve seen this offseason. Keep it up

Thank you! 🔥🔥 I see a lot of the hype surrounding certain prospects, but I definitely like to view things from the lens of understanding where a guy is heavily viewed to land, paired with my own film study and analysis of team needs that I too put hours into.

Dejean would be great to start at safety. Any CB would be 5th on the depth chart Behind Slay, Ringo, Rodgers and Ricks.

Byron Murphy II is the obvious choice for the Houston Texans!

I agree, unfortunately with the type of player that I personally believe Murphy is… he may not be there at 23 when it’s all said it done.. but we shall see ,it’s still early. He’s the type of player I take if I want to go BPA.

@@24hoursports I just think that it's the most interesting position group this year. Arnold, DeJean, Wiggins, Kool Aid, Quinyon, Rakestraw, Lassiter, Tampa, Mikey Sainristil, Melton, Hart, Renardo Green, Andru Phillips, Khyree Jackson. This draft is loaded. If anything, do you think you would have the time maybe for just the top 5?

@@dkitt-1Safties and LBs are my two positions that I am still in the process of, Tyler Nubin is kind of the obvious one at safety… I feel conflicted early in my linebacker process… and the reason being is I look at guys like Cooper from Texas A&M.. and while he’s a super athlete with rare size.. there are still some questions that I have about him that I will form stronger opinions on as I watch more games. So far though, I’m seeing a supercharged athlete… who still has to come along in reading his keys and understand blocking patterns in the run game. He obviously is athletic enough to do just about everything+ more you want a linebacker to do in coverage.. so he’s a wildcard and I wonder where he will be drafted. Peyton Wilson is another special player who I don’t view as a traditional linebacker… I’m definitely going to dive further into this

I've been waiting for this from you Daryl and you did not disappoint. Great great content...although...the Giants must go QB. Time to reset the QB position for the Giants and take either Penix or McCarthy, neither of which will make it out of the 1st round.
@24hoursports
@24hoursports 6 месяцев назад
So would you trade down from #6 in that instance ? Also, what about trading up for Daniels??? My question with the QB position is… do you think with the lack of a #1 WR paired with big questions surrounding Evan Neal… that one of those rookie QBs (whichever one you like for this team) will have enough around them to succeed going into year 1 as a starter? Or do you let them compete with DJ until they are ready?
@dkitt-1
@dkitt-1 6 месяцев назад
@@24hoursports What the Giants need to do is sign a tackle/guard in FA, someone like Onwenu or Elumenor. Resign McKinney and then draft the next QB and either Kingsley Sumataeia, Christian Haynes, Cooper Beebe or Zach Frazier. Jones' injury history coupled with his obvious flaws make it impossible to build around him. It's time to move on. Grab one of these young studs and start the rebuild.
@jcah9619
@jcah9619 6 месяцев назад
One thing I’d consider is, I truly think JJ McCarthy goes top 16. I think at least 4 QBS minimum go 1st rd, and I think teams will like him over Penix Jr and Bo Nix (long term wise)

@24hoursports
@24hoursports 6 месяцев назад
Thank you!! 🔥🔥 Long term I think you have to love the baseline of the type of QB that McCarthy can be and that he has shown to be along with the pedigree of winning a national championship.. I’ll get further into that discussion as I introduce trades into my own mocks and react to other mocks that have trades but right now as we sit here, I’ve went back to watch multiple games on McCarthy and I just don’t see him being worth a first rounder right now. I know I may be the only one, and that’s fine, BUT I have to acknowledge that I fully understand that one of those first round teams may fall in love with how they believe their coaching staff can tap into McCarthy’s traits and have him up to speed and ready to win games consistently by his 2nd or 3rd year… QB is a position where sometimes player rankings don’t fully correlate to mock draft because like the past has shown us… situation and relationship is everything for that position specifically. Right now where I feel McCarthy should go is to a team who trades back into the late first to get the 5th-Year option. Where I think he may go… is probably top 16 like you said, by the time the draft arrives.

Love that you went Nabers at 5. Theoretically Chargers should not pick top 10 again with Harbaugh/Herbert. So I think maximizing their position for the best available player is the move. IMO if QJ was not a 1st rounder he most likely would be cut after last season. Mike Williams is a cap casualty. Keenan and Palmer both have injuries issues. Not comfortable with Qj being WR1 in that scenario. Picking a TE at 5 would make the Chargers end up paying Bowers elite TE money. Getting Nabers or trading down is easily the best move for them.
@24hoursports
@24hoursports 6 месяцев назад
I like your approach to the pick and I agree with your reasoning… Brock bowers is a special player but I would take my special WR over my special TE at the bottom line… even though I understand Greg Roman and Jim Harbaugh will be coaching this team 😂😂😂… question though, what are your thoughts on ALT at the tackle position if this team doesn’t trade back for another player ? That’s my other decision I’ve been thinking
@elguapo6184
@elguapo6184 6 месяцев назад
@@24hoursports The thing about Alt or Fashanu is that they play LT and Rashawn Slater is an all pro at that spot. So they would be picking a LT to move across the line and hope it pans out..with a top 5 pick. It’s easier than moving from right to left, but still. Trey Pipkins should play better with Harbaugh/Roman creating better blocking schemes. Most of the pressures and sacks came from an unblocked defender and miscommunication. Chargers need a Center more than any other OL spot. But trading back to get a natural RT seems smarter especially with how loaded the class is. Getting Nabers/Rome and having a top WR for the next 4 years on a rookie deal is too good IMO.

Not a bears fan, but I think there's a chance. I also have a question for Bears' fans. Do you think other teams don't have a front office or something? The best scenario I've heard from the cult of Fields is that they're somehow going to fleece either Washington or NE, and still walk out with MHJ.... If Fields is still on your roster when the draft comes around, why would either of those teams trade up with you? Why wouldn't they just stay put and and just take Williams, Maye or Daniels with their own pick? If you want to talk about doing that with Atlanta or something, and possibly getting Neighbors I could see that, but not that other pipe dream 😂

@24hoursports depends on who you ask. Lol. There's questions about his loyalty to the Bears. Yes, he came out yesterday and said he wants to stay in Chicago. I try to take things at face value. Especially with athletes. Fields is going to learn a third offense in four years. It takes 3 to 4 years to master an offense. In 2 years he is going to want a new contract. Paying a QB $25 to $35 million dollars a year with all the question marks is a big risk. Usually, in 3 years, teams know what they have in their QBs. Justin is still an enigma. Yes, we can blame coaching or lack of talent around him. Sooner or later, the athlete has to take accountability. It's just my humble opinion.
@JeepGuy3
@JeepGuy3 6 месяцев назад
@zackhurwitz9441 As a Bears fan, that's an unfair question. I have no idea what the Bears' front office will do. Like any other fans, we all have opinions (some think that they know more than a GM does, lol), and opinions vary. As for your question, if other teams will trade with our team or not. Who knows. And maybe they won't... maybe they will. That's why we are here voicing opinions, and the GMs are running the teams. If I feel like playing "General Manager". I'll just play my Madden and have a "pipe dream," lololol

If the raiders dont get JD, then i dont see them getting a project qb in the first. U even said it, penx is not accurate with the ball. Now Im a stand Alone Raider fan when i say AOC is a better QB than any of these qb in the draft and last yrs draft, with the exception of CJ. AOC faced the best defense in the afc with the most accurate throws and least mistakes. His only knock is that he holds the ball too long. My guy only played like a quarter of a season. Im sure with more time, the game will slow down for him. I mean, he put up like 63 points on the danm Chargers. If u look into Raiders' roster, u will notice that 3 of our Oline are free agents, and 2 of our DL are also free agents. So i would hope we get Oline or Dline at #13 if we don't move up to get JD. There Alot of raiders fans that agree we should get Rattler in the second or move back up to the first to get Rattler to sit behind Aoc and develop

I’m with you for sure I can see what you’re seeing. I can definitely see 13 as a Byron Murphy/Talise Fuaga spot… and before this video I’ve actually had Murphy going here to Vegas, but I think where we differ is in the Assesment of AOC vs the potential of any of the QBs outside of the top 3 (Williams/Maye/Daniels). Now I like that you bought up the Spencer Rattler thought because I like him as a prospect, wonder if Luke Getsy would be able to develop him as an OC over there though.
@demokes5063
@demokes5063 6 месяцев назад
@24hoursports ya, that's why i like Aoc as the current qb. I don't know if Getsy is good at developing Qbs. I mean, i heard Justin Field was throwing him under the bus. Now, insiders are saying we are going after Justin now. And as far as the qb goes. I do believe most of the qbs have a lot of upside. But i dont think they are NFL ready. I hate how the current trend is to throw rookies in their first yr and expect them to be good. CJ is an anomaly. Look at the QB from greenbay. He sat on the bench and learned the playbook. Study the game, and i felt if it wasn't for that last throw, they might have gone to the NFC championship or the Super Bowl. Brady and mahomes both sat on the bench for a yr. I feel like if u put a rookie in. Especially in the AFC, he's just gonna get eaten up alive and develop bad habits. I dont penx, but i just wouldn't get him in the first.

@24hoursports 6 месяцев назад
@@demokes5063that’s a great point that you make.. I could get with that. It’s also important too about the situation that these rookies are drafted into. I think out of some of the teams that could go QB that LV is one of the better situations. I know one thing for sure… the Fields to Las Vegas stuff is smoke. He and Getsy do not want to see each other again and I say that with complete confidence after watching everything that went down in Chicago in 2023.

I hope 2 god ur not right about Bengals selecting Jc Latham . Bengals are known for huge whiffs in the 1st round. And JC Latham has Bust written all over him. Evan Neal to a tee. Big Strong N slow choppy feet . Man I hope to god Bengals don’t pick Jc Latham it will be a wasted pick. Hope they go the other way and grab Byron Murphy or Jerzhan Newton or even JPJ . Those are the safest 3 picks. Latham will not be a good football player at tackle he will def need to be kicked inside to Guard he doesn’t have the athleticism to be an Elite tackle and that shows all over his tape.
@24hoursports

You know I could make some very good points for Latham here, but you brought up Byron Murphy and I didn’t even want to combat the statement, I think I would have to see what happens with DJ Reader first… but I love Murphy and Newton they are menaces.. JPJ too but if I go OL (and I want an athlete) I would go Guyton for THIS team

Any team Grabbing Bowers in the TOP 10 is a clown 🤡 pick . Elite premier TEs are only costing 8-12 million per year max . That’s 4 years off the books compared to the price of WRs and OTs who are getting dam near 30. Whoever picks Bowers is costing their team over 100 million in savings . Can’t wait for the draft to see which team will waste 100 million dollars 😂 . Watch him not be even be a TOP 5 TE til year 4 🤣
@24hoursports
@24hoursports 6 месяцев назад
We could make that same argument about any Elite Player that’s not an OT, WR, Or QB. There are going to be more valuable positions, but will there be more valuable players? IMO, to Label Brock Bowers as just a “TE” is ingenious to the player that he actually is. Jackson Powers Johnson, Cooper DeJean (whose widely projected to move around in the secondary), and possibly Zach Frazier will Go in the 1st Round… Some teams want positions, some want the better player, every situation has to be evaluated differently but I don’t think either draft philosophy is flat out “wrong.” Also, Darren Waller and Hockenson are at 17, and Travis Kelce is DEFINITELY taking a pay cut.
@bengalselite9588

Congratulations on making the Bears the clown pick of the year. U just costed ur team over 100 million dollars down the road and potential key starters u could of added in FA . See a lot of people do these Movk Drafts only thinking of the player aspect picking BPA not thinking about the financial ramifications of their picks. U have to look of the business side of things. That’s why RB and TEs done go until the end of the 1st or til rnd 2 even if their Elite guys. Why waste a top 10 pick on a guy u can pay 10 million dollars for in FA it makes no sense. but carry on . Bowers falls out of the TOp 10 bc of this reason guaranteed!!!! People are to high on him anyway.
