No apology needed as I’m really not bothered what beans they are. I can’t tell much difference between them and Heinz anyway. Most of the time I buy supermarket branded ones so no bother here my friend!

Branston are today's best beans in my opinion - back when I was a kid I used to prefer Cross & Blackwell over Heinz - also Tesco house beans were better than the 2 latter brands - but house brands are often better full stop - not least on the purse - tightwad that I am! But if I see a deal for Branston Beans and/or Spaghetti - that's the goto No 1 choice for me! Meanwhile I hope you get over your Flog impeachment for your Beangate error - but every which way you'll produce a thunderous clap and clear the room!

I prefer Branston to Heinz and they are now a fraction of the price of Heinz even half price in some areas, we should boycott Heinz look at the price of their products, they are profiteering for an important part of British food!

I think that an apology was totally unnecessary as I don't think you can be expected to remember the make of everything you eat. As to the people who complained I can only thing they live very sad lives if the have to sit there picking on insignificant petty details like this.
I think you should sack your production manager for allowing this upsetting error to occur, or at the very least force him to eat several tins of HP beans straight from the tin as a punishment.
