I guess there is no denying that ebikes in all forms will be the norm in a big way going forward . Although i would consider a 4 wheel conversion . If i am going electric lets go all the way . Thanks for the vid .

Hey Micky, Nice vid! We've bought two e-trikes from you guys, but they were both stolen. Now my gf would like an electric-assist trike again. Would it be possible to deal with you directly? Do you ever have appointments at your Fair Oaks store where we could come up from Vallejo and talk to you about your newest Bosch 559 Catrike and maybe take a test ride? Thanks, radio

I bought a new 559 back in December which I absolutely love. What is the cost to add and transform it to the Bosch system....plus labor costs? And availability?

It's 2799 and we are taking orders now. First come first served, and it's a very limited supply during this crazy year. We've already got some people on the road and they love it!

How many watts is the Bosche? First, I heard this mid-mount is the quietest.... which is important to me... Speed... not as much... Is trike wiring available? I have a nice trike, but its not as fast as a 2 wheeler. A bit of a boost would be nice. I'm a machine mainteance tech, and former bike mechanic... I can do the work... don't mind making wire extensions, but would perfer a complete harness.

The Bosch is 250 watts. Catrike, Terratrike and Greenspeed offer a complete kit that can be installed at an authorized Bosch dealer.

Diehlpickle Café ...Hitchrider.com sells the absolutely best racks for trikes. I have a folding 559 and a non folding Trail. Hitchrider has several super youtube videos explaining their racks.i never even bother to fold the 559 . It is a dirty job and a pain in the butt to do it. Always getting chain grease on me. It takes 15 seconds to mount the trike on the fabulous rack. Check it out.

There are several racks that work well, some popular models are the Alpaca rack or the Hollywood trike rack.

Laid Back Cycles the Hitchrider is far superior to both of those. It is only sold direct through their website. Plus it is modular so one can add on to accommodate a conventional bike with a trike or two trikes plus it can be used with both the 2” and 11/4 inch hitch. There is no comparison. It is the best product of all.

Which base catrike is it on and is it foldable? Can you put two in a larger suv?

I don't know about phila, but I do know it climbs well in Tahoe. The key is to use your gearing as well.

Just got 559 eCAT, can you recommend high performance tires.only had opportunity to ride once…rain getting in the way.. just want little more speed! Thanks, Carol

Hi Carol! Normally we recommend a Marathon Plus set for thorn resistance and grip. If you want less grip, more speed, I would look into a Schwalbe Durano or Kojak. Hope that helps :)

Hi, My son has a Catrike Dumont folding trike which he loves. He would like to add an electric assist motor. Would it be possible to use this motor on his trike?
