Got one of these like 8 years ago or so and had to learn by trial and error. I was only twisting the tail to speed up without relation to the nose lol. Just ordered a new one after giving my old one away to a family friend and cant wait to try it out
I remember my cousins and siblings would play ripstick soccer. Was so much fun because the board is so maneuverable and you could get some cheeky kicks by flicking out the tail as you pass the ball.
😂😂 I bought one from Walmart but haven't tried it yet. I thought it adjusts but I found out it doesn't. Welp, guess I'll have some Bruises & busted Knee Caps tomorrow. 😂
I’ve been riding a ripstik since 2010. I advise not taking it down a steep hill. I learned that the hard way a couple years ago and I used a car to balance.
I already have a waveboard which is basically the same thing but cheaper.I really want. Ripstik air badly but it's just really expensive here in the Philippines
Some people think that using your front foot to move is weird it is just easier to me and others and if that's hard to you just simply use your left foot mostly
Do I ride wrong. I lead with my right foot and not with my left foot. I also didn't have a friend help me, or a wall, I had a staircase on a pier. So I did everything wrong, I started on a (not) flat surface, with a (nonexistant) friend, and my (right) foot as the guiding foot. Also anyone let me know if you lead with the right as well.
I got a ripstik in 2018 and i used to know how to ride it. Right now ive been riding a skateboard alot and i have lost the ability to ride the ripstik :(
i figured how to do this with out the video and the disc by clinging on to a wall then after i got used to it i let go and worked out the rest except for the stopping...
So I’m actually gonna learn how to skateboard but I have a Ripstick that I had for several years because I wanted A skateboard but got a rip stick instead so I thought it’s good for practice so I wanna learn how to actually ride it So I’m not a complete beginner on the skateboard
@2looney29 i got an exboard and i dont do any trick/stunts and it is PERFECT for me, they are quite expensive but it is really stable and i find it much easier to ride - hope it helps!! :)
I learned this when I was about 50. After I fell and got a sweet concussion it was all good after that. I figured it can't get any worse. The furthest I rode was about 10 miles on it. Great workout!
