Dude, before ordering a iphone screen was looking to do my own iphone screen replacement but I thought it was going to be something like 2 to 5 minutes to do but after watching this 34 minute video instructions I see that its going to take more then 34 mins to do cause you edit the video and made it 34 min which actually really took more than an hour to replace the screen. In this case Its time consuming especially putting it back together and hopefully the phone will work after putting everything back together. I rather have it sent out for replacement instead being all night looking at miniature screws with magnifying glass. But greet video and thanks for sharing for those who willing to do it.

My daughter dropped her phone and cracked her screen really bad. I followed these directions step by step and even though it took me about 2.5 hours, ever thing worked at the end. So, there I am, go to go, tools laid out, map of iphone so I know where all the screws go. Disassemble, taking great care with tiny screws etc. Then so twat says use a hair drier and I blow the screws all over the floor! Doh! Good video though and thanks, got it sorted in thee end :)

OMG LOVE IT!!! I replaced my old, cracked iphone 4s screen for a new one and I even changed the color of my phone from black to white. I followed all the steps EXEPT the first one because I was in a little too much of a hurry and I tore the battery cable. Thank God for Amazon Prime and next day shipping. My phone looks awesome and is working perfectly. I found that to get the "searching" to go away it helps to restart the phone after inserting the sim card. I'm very happy.

👍👍👍 My iPhone 4S works again. Second time I have had to replace this part. Screen kept on flickering and if battery ever went flat it took days of continuous charging to get phone to turn back on. Excellent tutorial. Well done.

Thanks. Got my wife a new screen, works like a charm. A separate thank you for the remark at aroun 30:00 that if you improperly connect the antennas you can get "searching" and all that, exactly what happened to me. Turns out I moved the lower one when plugging the battery and adding the ground panel. Thanks again. The other vids I found didn't have a reassembly and no commentary as in "this is the Home button cable, this is the camera cable etc.".

Great Video. Only thing is that you did not mention taking out the SIM Card. I wondered why the motherboard was sticking. Also the foam covering the ear speaker was not mentioned. It needed to be peeled off and applied to the new LCD.I realized this after I was all done and was not going to take it all apart to reapply it. Thanks much

Awesome tutorial. Fixed my screen with no problems. The most difficult part I would say is getting the loop behind the digitizer and lcd in to set the new screen in, its a pain! other than that super easy.

3 years ago I broke my iPhone 4s and tried to convince my dad to let me fix it myself (I was 15) with one of these kits and he said no. But I recently found the phone again (years after getting 3 different phones) and decided to fix it. Unfortunately it seems iCracked discontinued the 4s kits, so I found another one, but this video absolutely helped a ton. I love iCracked. I might buy the 6 kit to fix my sister's phone

Took a while as it was the mrs phone so wanted not to get a beating if I broke the phone, but worked a treat, just follow the steps patiently. If you are not sure at any point, re watch. If something doesn't work afterwards, you broke something, the video didn't break it and didn't find anything was missing either. Thatnks for the great walk through :)

Awesome tutorial, followed step by step and it turned out great, the only problem i had was one of the digitizer flex cables onto the logic board didn't really fit back on, most likely due to this being a clone piece from a different manufacturer i bought the kit on amazon for a lot cheaper than you have here but I can understand why the kit would be really handy..

Great video, ran into one set back where one of the six side screws was on so tight that I ended up stripping the screw. So I had to get pliers and carefully pull the old screen off. All and all if you take your time and take a break when you run into a problem, come back and think it through anybody can do this. If your phone keeps saying "searching" take out your SIM card power down the phone, and before you turn it back on put the SIM card back in and two-part your phone on. Should work!!! All I can say is my phone works perfectly and I'm around of myself.

Great video but check if the new screen has the wire mess dust cover for the ear speaker, if not change it along with the home button, i found out after I finished!

Very helpful video, I highly recommend this video if attempting this fix. Zooming on certain components before installing would have been helpful, also a link to the flowchart that is mentioned several times in your video and even if the links to product were available products as none are any longer (description updates). But otherwise very helpful and good quality video, fix worked for me and installed new battery at same time, but dam was the 4s a lot more hassle to replace screen and digitizer than the iphone 6.

I used this and it was the best the screen is not a cheap one that other people put on it just like the original screen. It took me about 1-1.5 hours it was very easy and I got threw it!

Great instructions!! I successfully replaced the screen with the phone working perfectly for the first day. On the second day my screen would white out or show lines across the top half of the screen of I pressed to hard over the top of the screen. I opened the phone up and the connection looks okay. Could it be a defective LCD or do I need to see of there is any pinching of the ribbon by the LCD screen?

see if your service antenna is connected all the way. The service antenna connection is the step that you do after you re install the bottom speaker

Well that was fun, kind of. Very good video, with lots of good tips. My additional advice would be lots of good lighting on the work area, use a tray to catch those tiny screws, have an egg carton to segregate the different screws for each stage and make sure your screw drivers are magnetic. I had to magnetise my screw drivers half way through for the reassembly.

Shall I assume it was one of the 6 holding the screen in place? Possibly the one you used as leverage to get the vibration motor out of the way? If so, same thing happened to me. My advice: Ignore it, loosen/undo the other screws for the screen, then try and force it out (it's already broken, right?) Once the screen is out there will be less tension on the screw so you should be able to twist it out by hand, Then just ignore it: There are another 9 screws for the screen. It will still be secure.

The screen and colors are perfect when I view the phone head on....but if the phone is on the table and I'm looking at an alert from the side, the screen is extremely bright like the lights around the edges are at full power. It's pretty illegible as I can barely read the screen, a privacy film or something. What can this be from and how can I fix it? Perhaps it is the actual newer LCD screen? I can't imagine it's any of the connections because when I hold it directly in front of me, everything is perfect...

The power ribbon cable can get hidden under the mother board. Make sure you didn't miss that connection.

I do find that sometimes the phone can struggle to get signal due to a time discrepancy so sometimes I need to reset the time. Also getting at that screw in the top right is quite hard.
