yess! she is like the "beyonce" of the group the one that had all the traits mastered to be in a group. not that she sounded or danced or performed like beyonce , no . dawn pulls focus without trying.
dawn and aundrea were always the stars of their live performances. drea was a straight up powerhouse singer. dawn had the vocals/dance/and stage presence.
I know this is an old comment but it was ALL 5 that made this. That's a fact and the end of that part of the convo. I have seen DK, Dk4 and DK3. All are amazing. Even after all those years, meeting them and seeing them felt just like the old days, still down to Earth. THEY ALL slayed the show. Also, the fact that everyone went through hell to bring DK back is amazing. Like Dawn said on the DK3 tour. "For some reason, even after all this time, ya'll still here and don't give up on us and we are forever humbled and grateful." Damn straight. We will never not give up on ya'll!
Every time I watch this and listen to the first album all I think about is how Keri Hilson & Timbaland created masterpieces with “Want It” and “Right Now” 😍. When asked if she could’ve kept a record she wrote, Keri literally said Right Now was one she would’ve loved to have. Memories 😁
For one, Diddy wasn't really paying them. Some of the girls started taking other projects, causing them to miss performances and the other girls resented it. Second, once the competition ended, they found out that their personalities didn't mesh that well. I often felt that Diddy did this competition backwards. He should have taken the last eleven girls and let them spend time one on one and on the road to see who really got along.
It feels like the group divorced because of aubrey's huge ego and d woods coldness. I would've replace d woods with Jazmine and Aubrey with melissa. Dawn, shannon, aundrea, melissa and jazmine as Danity Kane.
D.Woods was always so cold. She never got to know or cared about Aundrea. Had a competition with Dawn. And always ignored Shannon. That’s why she clung to Aubrey in the later days. I do think jasmine or taquita over d.woods. Jasmine seemed to always get along with the girls more. But not Melissa over Aubrey. Melissa was an even worse singer than Aubrey 🤷🏻♂️
