Considering Silksong is #2 wishlisted on steam, I think they are comfortable with releasing it on their own time, so maybe they are letting the big events and updates for other games get out of the way first so they can have the spotlight for it relatively uncontested.

The fact that merch is releasing along with the rest of the stuff that has happened this year, I find my "theory" of August is highly plausable, as I have always said
Hate to be the bad guy as always. But if you buy the Hornet Nendoroid with mini Cogfly figure (which is from Silksong), that came out a while ago from the official Nendoroid store is comes with a special Silksong branded stand. This special Silksong branded stand does not come with the Fangamer version of the figure so we TECHNICLLY have had official Silksong branded merch for a while now. But also it true this is the first thing that says Silksong on it on Fagamer. There is also not a new separate game tab on fangamer for Silksong its still under the Hollowknight merch tab so this likely means nothing.
ppl who review bomb are the one's who say game is too hard, the only real issue is the performance, but every fromsoft content always has fps issues on release
August is when people start taking classes and the summer is ending, people have less free time. Later, like September or October, people will be comfortable in their school schedules, and probably better with readapting and managing time. Probably doesn’t apply to everyone, and just food for thought :P
