OUTSTANDING EXTENSION! Hands down far more informative than the app, site, or hotline. The only thing that comes remotely close is a call to VERA through a scheduled appointment. Bar none this is the new standard of providing claim info!
Great info. I will give it try today and definitely will donate. Stuff like this is very helpful to all the vets out there that don't get any info form the VA website or from calling the VA. Awesome work brother. 👏
Great info! Got a fuller understanding about the status of my claim via the tracker. No more wondering about the huge vague “EGRD” area. This fills the gap!
Please break down how to aquire the app and how to make it WORK. Navigation of the app can be figured out but getting the app to show up or work is proving to be the harder part....
I do like the extension but would like to offer a suggestion. Before I found this tutorial I couldn't figure out why there were two blue lines and initially thought it was because I had two claims open. I didn't realize the 2nd blue line was actually the four steps of "Evidence Gathering" until I watched this video. If possible, maybe you could somehow clarify what that 2nd line is depicting on the extension itself so it's less confusing. A simple addition of small text above the 2nd line that says (line below is the four steps of Evidence Gathering) would suffice. Thank you for the extension though as it is helpful and I'll be donating.
My claim tracker shows my new claims status, but also show s the new claims whenever I check the status of my supplemental claims. How can I check the current status of the supplemental claims?
I did not see you cover the area of issues (1) Active, Date, Description, Diagnostic Code, Last Action. Mine states: Active: YES, Date: N/A, Description: Eczema, Diagnostic Code 7806, Last Action: N/A. What does this mean?
Hi I tried my best to provide all available field descriptions, If you hover over the field you’ll see descriptions if available. I don’t work for the VA and don’t have more insight than provided by the tool. Would recommend getting with a VSO or scheduling an appointment with VERA for more details.
Do I need to log in to the VA page every time I want to use this extension? I ask because days later I open the browser and the extension is still open and appears that the Day counter has increased. If I can just leave this open and refresh it as needed that would save me some steps!
@@CoderX-hd6gl What about syncing? Today is the 17th. The tracker says last synced 7/11. My VSO just emailed me that it was assigned to a rater on 7/15. I've logged in and updated but it still keeps saying last synced on 7/11! If course at this stage I'm wanting the most updated info. Thanks!
@@RyRyFungi Yes, the extension will re-sync / update once it has identified you are on a claim page and the "Last Sync" Datetime stamp will update. Try using the "Clear Data" button if you scroll down at the bottom of the extension and refresh your claim page.
Thank you so much. Hopefully it’s not too late to ask a question. Per my VA tracker, I’m currently at the Evidence Gathering stage, my current phase is at Preparation for Decision, but there is no completion date for the Review of Evidence phase. Does that mean I’m really not at the Preparation for Decision phase?
Hey so the extension has had updates since this video, it no longer shows the "Estimated Completion Dates" as they were very inaccurate and caused more confusion than were helpful.
All you have to do is click on a specific claim you would like more details on then click on the extension to open. You may need to manually refresh the claim page first.
@@Colorado.jim47 I’m sorry you’re having trouble getting it up and running. Are do see the extension at the top of your chrome browser after you install? If not click on the “puzzle” icon at the top right and pin the extension to your favorites to keep it at the top. I’m not sure how else to help besides this tutorial.
I have 5 standard claims. I filed one in August and the rest in October. The VA combined all of my claims. Is there a way to see each claim individually? It looks like all of my claims are waiting on a decision but I’ve only been to one C&P exam. Thank you for making this.
my "refresh date" button is greyed out even though im on the specific claim page, does that mean its not accurate? mine doesnt have much info on it and this was a supplemental from july 27 (from a denial back in 2021) so its already over the quoted 150 days for supplementals and i still have no info
is the claim id the claim labeled from you filing or the the claim the decider assigned to it? like if mine is 020ni which is new/increase does that mean they are suggesting an increase ?
Hi, I am looking for someone to assist me and getting my Claims approved with the VA. I serve 24 years green artillery pack of duty retired in 2005. I have been denied three times for benefits. I now have to resubmit claims all over again. I did not do an appeal after the last denial in 2013, but I was told that I can still file for those injuries that were previously denied. Is that true?
You will not see any demo, That was for demonstration purposes. You will see your claim populate and will be shown the correct format based on your claim type.
Can you expand on what you mean by "the last time your claim was touched"? Does that mean, touched at all? I don't want to pester people, I know they're busy. But how long should you wait before contacting people?
For standard claims the this means the last time your claim was reviewed/opened for HLR, Supplementals and Appeals the last updated field seems to be just a placeholder for the current date time stamp. Outside of the claim tracker tool I have no knowledge or information on how often you should contact the VA
I have the 2.0 version installed but do not see the "Appeals Demo" checkbox. I currently have one regular claim and on supplemental claim open. Am I missing something? Thanks for the great extension!
Hey so no one will see the “Demo” checkbox. That was for demonstration purposes. You will see your claim populate and will be shown the correct format based on your claim type.
@@CoderX-hd6gl the refresh data button is not available when I have the supplemental claim open. Feel like I’m still missing something. I’ll look later in dev tools and see if any more info is being sent. Thanks again.
You don’t log into the extension. You login to VA.gov web app as you normally would, then go to your claim page and click on the extension to see the data
was hoping that the tool could somehow see something that the Track Claims page does not show for HLR. I'm sure it's amazing...just frustrated that nothing has been updated on this HLR/DTA after a year on this journey, Thanks for using your time and talents to help vets!
If you click on the claim status code, it should take you to a link from the VA that will give you more details on status codes. I don’t work for the VA and not familiar with what most codes are.
Also, I have a couple claims that are closed, but they have an alert on them that says, AMA post decision.. are you familiar with what that means? Thanks!
Please refer to this tutorial on how to use Chrome extensions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g92v8bP8dKo.html. The direct link to the extension chromewebstore.google.com/detail/va-claim-tracker/onbanekcefgnibhlaiimeadkbdahjpoo.
@@LuisFlores-gk9pj from my understanding, you MUST First go to the VA page on your computer and log in. Then click on a specific claim and then click on the VA extension app.
