Your reactions are some of my favorites because you are genuine and as an empath I appreciate genuine people and unfiltered emotion. That's why I watch reactors. It validates my own reactions because my emotions, especially to music, tends to be very strong. I always say if I could I'd walk around with my own soundtrack. And a capella, be it Home Free, Voiceplay, Pentatonix, what have you, moves me. So be genuine. Be emotional. It's real in a world that is mostly fake and polish.

There's a great video of them standing in a circle performing Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" in the Delta Airlines boarding area at some random airport. These guys all just live for music. You can't go wrong with Pentatonix or Home Free. In fact I found Home Free by listening to Pentatonix in the comments by listener's. To me this is comparable in epicness to Home Free's How Great thou Art.

AVI was the original bass singer, who left the group and was replaced by Matt. Scott can cover bass like in this song when Avi sings lead...Scott is doing the bass...you can see it clearly in the live performance. Kirstin and Matt fill in the top end with everyone reactor first reaction to Mitch called "The Mitch Face". Kevin, the beatboxer is amazing, can sing, classically trained on the Cello, and was found on the internet doing "Celloboxing" which is beat boxing while playing the Cello. The original three were Kirstin, Mitch and Scott...they met Avi via a mutual friend, and found Kevin with the above mentioned video...they won Season 3 of "The Sing Off" and the rest is history. Check out Daft Punk...their first Grammy winner.

their evolution of videos are amazing "Evolution of Beyoncé" and their "Evolution of Michael Jackson" Little info about the group tho, the bass Avi (Guy with the beanie and beard) left the group a little while back because he needed to look after his ill mum and travel was getting to be to much. He helped them find a new bass and settle him in. He left on good terms with everyone !!

A PTX song to make you 'choke up'... their original Thank You... that song has feels. It has piano and cello, both obvious, not hidden and is an amazing, soulful song. Also their cover of Praying... that is an incredible song. Avi (the bass singer in this song) is amazing, showcased in the original Standing By - one of my favourites. Praying and Standing By are audio only, sadly no music video, but well worth reacting to. The covers of Gold and No are also a very good watch. For Gold, I would recommend watching the original singers version first - just to fully appreciate the talent of PTX in covering a song that needed 'looping' to enable the original artist to perform it. So many amazing songs to look forward to!

This is a studio recording and lip-synch, of course. But there's also a vid on their channel of them doing this song live during a Christmas concert. You could review that, and see that they basically sound the same either way. You can even see that Scott is taking over the bass line when Avi sings lead.

I don’t know if you’ll see this comment since the reaction was so long ago, but you should REALLY look up Cloverfield’s version of this song. A little different lyrics but it’s absolutely beautiful and makes me tear up every time

No, Pentatonix is absolutely not the original. They formed to be on season 3 of The Sing-off in 2011. Home free was in season 4 of The Sing-off 2013. But they was formed back in 2000. VoicePlay formed 2005- ish. I am sure the list can go on.
