Cable had business in Knowhere, related to the Time Stone, as it was now loose in the universe with the defeat of the mad titan. He expected trouble. What he DIDN'T expect was to be approached by an irate rodent who proceeded to scream at him, something about some 'Ponsy Museum Flarker who took my flarkin' stuff!'. He was offering Cable a job. Cable had a mission to do, but earning the favor of a local who had money and contacts could be quite helpful. Cable did what he always does, plan out an exact coordinated attack with several sub-plans within plans. He'd get justice for this strange angry gun baring woodland creature. ----------------- I think the universal solo experience is 'If they don't get advance...' . Very much risk calculation and it was good to see a game where the dice roll came up snake-eyes, as it's relatable and makes me feel better about the times risks didn't pay off for me After the loss when I saw you brought cable, I laughed as that felt like you going 'THAT'S IT!!!', taking off your boxing gloves and grabbing a massive hammer to hit the Collector right in his smug face with. This weekly challenge is interesting as I know Collector is disliked by a lot of people (as he is, effectively, designed to deny you the ability to play your cards) so creating this challenge with the idea you can 'ignore' his mechanic is interesting. In my own quick attempt at it earlier today (Protection Wolverine), it just resulted in me beating him down really quickly as I realized I didn't have an incentive to slow down or notice his mechanic.
Haha. Yes i totally agree with your sentiments, that’s my experience with the Collector too. He’s a weird scenario to evaluate because if the player takes the game slow he can be one of the most difficult scenarios in the game, but with a rush build he becomes much more doable
Not sure about easier or harder but definitely more fun. This is how it should have been designed from the beginning. Hopefully they’ll make a reprint with these rules. Maybe we’ll get a weekly one shot with Nebula next week where they change her in some fun and unique way. :)
Easier. Some heroes (Rocket or Nebula for just an example) hardly can win vs Collector I in expert mode. This is the only Villain that I don't play in heroic mode...and usually I don't like to play/enjoy it.
