I love when you said you have a crush on Minghao haha. because he’s honestly the standard! He is kind, considerate, realistic, and appreciative (of things and people). When Mingyu expressed that he didn’t like his own skin tone, Minghao reassured him that he’s still handsome. In Knowing Bros, Minghao hated ranking members’ handsomness and decided he was the “least” handsome, to avoid the pointless competition. He’s not particularly a fan of parasocial relationships that fans create with their idols (understandably) and would prefer a healthy interaction. SVT is the real definition of 5 dollar and a dream. When you said that you never heard any of their songs before eventho they're huge is because they have been silently growing, and were so underappreciated. They often looked down by kpop fans in general. There's even a running joke that says they only have 2 fans. They were the most loved rookie group that is adored by their seniors but netizen and kpop fans in general was kinda looked down on them because they came from an almost-brankrupt company. They received so much hate during their rookie years from knetz bcs they thought SVT is so undeserving to be the big 3 boy group along with BTS and EXO (They have a term given by the media: EBS (Exo, BTS & SVT) back then since these three is the best selling boy groups and each represent the 3 most important aspects to be an idol; EXO vocals, BTS rap, and SVT dance) bcs they were rookies at that time and came from a small company. Due to the backlash from netizens, SVT made their own term as SBS (Seventeen Brand is Seventeen). They often jokes about this SBS term in interview and try to avoid the EBS question bcs they didn't want to get backlash anymore. As a kpop fan for 11 years, i can confidently say that SVT is one of the very FEW groups (and by few i only meant bts and svt lol) that has the most organic success. The humble beginning to the point where they have to use their own money to buy an ordinary earphone bcs the company couldn't even afford them an earpiece. The 5 dollars bulk stages clothes, the debut song (Adore U) that literally made with Wonwo's macbook during their trainee day and the 5 dollar MV. No media play, no skipping any step, no over (or even proper) promotion, no fraudulent. They are the definition of talents and hard work always win eventually. Its because SVT is the only boygroup in my knowledge that literally had to make everything by their own in order for them to debut and thrive in their earlier years. Seungkwan had to go his way to contact TV shows Pds so they can get invited in order for SVT to get promoted. Mingyu had to design their own promotional sticker. They're literally made from scratch bcs Pledis is a such a shitty company, they gave SVT the bare minimum and they never give them a proper promotion until late 2018 (during YMMD album release). And why i said their talents is what attracts people to check them out is because SVT is one of those groups who never had that grant stages and glamorous stages outfits (thats why carats hate their stylist most of the time), they never showing skins (until 2021 and we're so here for it lol), they literally only there singing live with never off-key vocals while dancing to 164 bpm, they just there on the stage like rent is due. I remember when they got a tiny tiny love and praise from the general public during their adore u performance where they have only earphones (some dont even had one), while dancing in the heavy rain yet you cant catch them lacking. Their passion, energy, synchronization and out of this world-vocals is coming through. I still get emotional everytime i watch that performance (a 5 dollar everything with priceless talents), not to mention their innocence smiles 💔 The amount of members is one of the reason why they were so underappreciated too. There are people who loves their music and listen to them but never actually joining the fandoms bcs "there's too much members i just cant". Ive seen people be calling them dozens until they eventually learn about how talented each and every member of SVT is. They carry bags of talents under their belt, EACH OF THEM, yet people said they will never make it big. Thats why scoups along with the two captains (Woozi and Hoshi) is always so protective of SVT for the mock and hate. They often spitting and talk about these stuffs in their unreleased songs (i hope you can check these someday). Anyway, it became a long rant but so happy that you can see the talents in them beyond the amount of members. Im so here for your journey to the diamond life 💕💕

I recommend starting from the variety show era of GoSe (going seventeen). Very much because the early stuff doesn't necessarily have subs on the main channel, and also people only really talk about gose because of it being a variety show. Many start gose with the 2020 episodes which I think works pretty well but there are variety show episodes from 2019 too. I think you can't really avoid being confused when you first start GoSe so you just have to watch enough to get a hang of it. More recent episodes, while being really fun either way, have varying degrees of inside jokes, spoilers, "lore" or just necessary context missing to fully understand. But it wouldnt be impossible to start with newer eps. In my opinion it's best to just pick something random and go from there, Christmas in August should work pretty well

I honestly think you should react to the popular Going Seventeen episodes first (which typically means episodes that aired in 2020-2023), because that’s when many of the iconic & well-loved moments, inside jokes, memes etc in the series happen. I would personally recommend the TTT Hyperrealism 1 & 2 eps. I consider these as the “gateway” episodes to GoSe. And it’s a special series to Carats because TTT is when they just hang out, relax, play games, and drink. It’s a good sneak peak at their dynamics and vibes.

Some of the members recommended the TTT Hyperrealism episodes and Best Friends episodes, because they think those are the episodes that would somehow reflect seventeen off stage. fot going seventeen starting with 2020 would be best I think. Thats kinda when they made their "official" transition from behind the scenes to variety show. Some episodes from 2019 are also in the variety show format, like debate night. But most of the really popular episodes came to be starting in 2020

I think it would be good to start Going Seventeen from the point it became a variety show (Going Seventeen 2019 EP.1). Some of the early episodes can be a bit slower than what GoSe is now, but they have few very important episodes, like them writing and producing the GoSe intro song, their first TTT (a trip for seventeen to relax and have fun), Debate Night and the hidden camera with manequins that you saw in few clips in the guide. The behind the scenes Going is nice, but it's just simple cute vlogs that aren't that great for reaction content and don't really show that much about the members. If you're still curious about some more put together realistic behind the scenes content they have a short show "HIT THE ROAD" about their 2019 World Tour where they speak about their work, hardships they had during the tour and how they feel about being Seventeen in general.

I just love all of them so much ❤ Since you really seem to like laughs, there is an entire Seventeen laugh guide that someone did which is literally like the best thing ever and is guaranteed to make your cheeks hurt from smiling! I think out of the whole group Hoshi has my favorite laugh but Minghao wins best giggle! There are people who think Joshua is normal at first and I'm like absolutely not, he is literally the weirdest one 🤣 For Going Seventeen it doesn't matter too much if you do it out of order but some episodes do reference previous ones on occasion, just keep in mind that each segment is usually 2 eps and sometimes 3. I think most people would prefer to see the variety stuff first before the documentary style earlier episodes.
