Please don’t leave, we are now coming and you’ve really inspired us. We love ❤and see you soon. We are relocating to Ada, Ada is the last end of greater Accra and it’s 2 hours away from Accra. It’s really beautiful there too
This is unfortunate, however, there are many people including myself who purchased land and property and doing well in Ghana. Despite what happened to her, many more people are moving to Ghana, the exodus is on.
First of, I'm so sorry about all you went through. I'm Ghanaian living abroad. And I know acquiring things like land in Ghana is like playing Russian Roulette - you never know which one will 'finish' you. Like in my sister's case. Her land case is still in court after 3 years or so - she was born and bred in Ghana but still ended up in this situation. The entire system needs overhauling in my opinion. The real estate agencies you can actually trust charge such high prices the average Ghanaian cannot afford. Regarding leaving Ghana, definitely proritise your peace over all else. Ignore all the negative comments. Go where you feel at home! I wish all the very best. Cheers!
I believe most people seeking to repatriate back to Africa will eventually come to this conclusion, that building in Africa is hard and there's more opportunities in the West. I pray we can figure out how to prosper in Africa one day.
@@mkenyamzalendo4130 Kenya is 1 country out of 54 on the continent of Africa lol, you may get 4 or 5 coutries on the continent that can get the process right the first time. Statistically (factually) its still a fair statement
Thank you for sharing your journey! Although the land didn’t fully work out - you got to experience some of the beauty of the people and culture there as well as the complexities of doing business there. You experienced and learned a lot and can even help others on a similar path, which is priceless. I’m glad you got that experience and that you are doing what is best for you. That’s key! As you move forward I wish you the best.
You'll do well wherever. Again, I would say definitely give South Africa a try. They have all the systems in place and everything is by the book. No scams. No BS. No paying small small to get basic tasks done.
@@nobs997They are cleaning up the Zuma/Gupta scandal but the RSA institutions proved they work well... Media and courts stopped them from fully messing up the country. Zuma aside, the South African economy has tripled since Apartheid ended.... Over 90 percent have access to electricity, they have international presence as they are a member of the G20 and now BRICS. South Africa is definitely not perfect but given they are barely 40 years from the end of Apartheid, things will take time to correct. In regards to Leslie, she is used to systems and processes being clearly laid out and followed like in America. South Africa has that and she'd do very well there. May I ask where you are from?

I was following your journey in Ghana where you even slept in a hutch 🛖 you got made for you on your second land I supposed. You were so determined at that time. I feel very disappointed you had to give all that up by resolving to appreciate where you are! Corruption is the canker in Ghana... I hope to link you up. Good luck where you are❤❤❤
She dead right about getting with the right people! You are not by yourself with losing money in Ghana! The import business is great in all aspects! Peace and blessings I still got your info!
Thanks for your transparency. Not everyone shares their bumps in the road. I'm considering Gambia. Probably will rent a spot. Your smile brightens my day. 🌞
@@iAmLeslieJones It's nice to visit, I guess. However, IMO, Gambia is not safe for a single woman, especially if she is accustomed to speaking out against corruption, misogyny, injustice etc. Why a modern woman would want to permanently move to a fourth world country where human rights are not a priority is beyond me. Any place where is it still illegal to be gay will inevitably be troublesome for women who are accustomed to speaking out. Besides, as a foreigner, you have no political input anyway.
I did not want to comment on this subject ,I am a Ghanaian and a proud one as such . Whatever happened to you happen to The local Ghanaians as well . Scamming people is everywhere in the world I am not proud of whatever happened to you but every country has a method they use . We are all victims but there is a good side as well We all learn in our different journeys so sorry that u feel like that way The person who mentioned SA most of the business there are white oriented which make SA Ahead so good luck but Ghana is going to come out stronger . But thanks for your support. We will miss u if u choose to leave
@@iAmLeslieJones I have family born and bred in Ghana who have suffered land issues as well. Land disputes are the #1 thing in the court systems here. Very unfortunate.
@@IvyProsper I hope they expedite digitizing documents. They’ve started in Accra but it needs to be everywhere like yesterday. People like you are working so hard to advertise for people to come. The system of balance of advertising for repatriation and the ability to uphold the repatriation is unbalanced. Potential is truly there but implosion in my opinion is overtaking the potential.
Love your candor concerning the journey's ups and downs! You have a way of staying radiantly positive through most of life's lessons and I find deep inspiration there, seeking to learn this kind of tenacity toward manifesting your dreams!
Don't worry leslie God will give you your money back a thousand folds. Its spiritual law. I'm praying for you. Keep that divine energy that you posses. Nothing can stop you. You are a Great Woman.🎉🤗🤗🦸🦸🦸💚💚💚🤗🎉🎉🎉
Your previous sent me to Ghana last October for 3 weeks, I went back again last March this year, my with Ghanaian co-worker here in Wisconsin avenue, Washington DC. helped me to purchased my land in 6 months ago. Her sister is working in lands commission in Ghana, so my 10 acres of land has no issues. I am going to venture into poultry farm
Please whatever African country you plan to try next, please join their local association in your respected city. In the case of Ghana, there were several Ghanaian Associations in most major US cities you could have joined before coming. Those relationships with already established Ghanaians that happen to live in the US would have served you immensely when you were here. They understand how you think and understand how some Ghanaians think, further shielding you from the BS. The irony is most of those members of those Association refuse to spend more than 4 weeks out of the year back "home". That topic alone would have enlightened you on whether or not Ghana was in your best interest.
Leslie I think you should go get in touch with Aleta Israel in cape coast and I believe she can help you get land in Asebu in cape coast and her mentor father Cohen and they will help you. She is on RU-vid. I believe in her and she is very credible. I think you will win with them being your eyes and ears as you build one day at a time. She has helped a lot of people get land and she is assisting other people build and I am sure she will help you too. Her company is Ghana consultations. I hope everything works out for you in the end.
Yeah that's unfortunate that happened to you thank you for sharing this for people who are looking to move to Africa. It just goes to show that a lot of the scams are all over the world and we need to use discernment as melanated women in this world and as just women.
Your welcome. Definitely do not ignore your discernment and let emotions and excitement cloud judgement. You need all the spiritual insights and gifts in operation over there…or a solid lawyer…which that’s a journey to find too. I finally found my lawyer after 8 of them!!!
Corruption is Africa's biggest problem. Nothing moves forward because we're saturated with disgustingly corrupt people at every level of government. National to Municipal council. its awful. I'm sorry you had this experience. But there's a new generation loading.
It's going to be a problem for Ghana to grow if they don't clean up the corruption. They need to take a page out of Rwanda's book if they are to succeed. Corruption in Rwanda is to a minimum.
I agree ov. I listened to chakabers the other day. Talking on Rwanda 🇷🇼. His perspective of why Rwanda is the way it is is super interesting. It’s all interesting.
I'm very sorry to hear about your Ghana 🇬🇭 real estate land purchase problems. I hadn't seen you post on RU-vid in months so I thought things weren't well. You know Ivy Prosper, Jay Cameron and Wode Maya, Tim Swan, four other RU-vid influencers in Ghana 🇬🇭. I had hope that resources could have given you a better outcome. Question... why not purchase built properties and not build? Let someone else go through the issues in Ghana 🇬🇭.
That was my initial plan. Then most developments were foreign. I was trying to contribute to the people of the land. That bit me in the butt didn’t it ha!
I remember seeing your first video i immediately knew you would be scammed. Even we the natives get scammed how much more you a foreigner. It’s a jungle warfare out there if you want to invest in Ghana. Our people unfortunately see money before everything even in lieu of genuine friendships. They just don’t care. That’s why Ghana and Africa as a continent is far behind in development. That’s the advantage people like us have . We can always come back to America and recoup whatever we lost but imagine someone who doesn’t have an American passport like we do or ties to any western countries. They are screwed for life. It’s a shame our people are so corrupt.
Wow to think that from my first video…what an embarrassment to the native people. I’m forever grateful to my ancestors for providing options for me 🙏🏿. I’ll never take that for granted.
@@iAmLeslieJones yeah I remember that video you went to the land commission to meet this guy etc. I knew it was all a set up. Last year when I visited Ghana a guy almost scammed me for $10k about a land on the hill. I did my checks and blocked him. Didn’t give him a dime. In 2016 same thing happened and I had to ambush this chief with some cops with guns before he gave me my money back. And I was born and raised in Ghana yet we see these things happen. Thank God I am American so I have options. I am still doing projects in Ghana but wiser. It’s rough out there especially when they know you’re from America. They think we pick dollars on the streets.
@terrelmensa4373 definitely a lesson learned. I’m glad you are sharing your stories. Some of these misogynist keep blaming it on being a woman. I’m like…let’s stop covering criminal activity! Fraud is fraud. Criminality is criminality. Plain and simple. Which is another issue I’ve experienced in Ghana. Sexism to programmed deep. Not so much the youngins but the older ones. Shame. Yeah you got cops connections you can get anything back if they didn’t spend the money yet. Glad you got your money back. How long have you been living in the states?
@@iAmLeslieJones I agree with you. Gender got nothing to do with anything this. It’s just pure greed and criminal behavior being perpetrated by some Ghanaians. Everyone wants to rip you off even the street hawkers lol. But yeah I’ve been living here in America for 15 years. But also lived in Europe and of course Ghana where I spent most of my life. I got family across all 3 continents and even though Ghana is a fun place to live especially when you have good source of income, most of our people are something else. Liars, lazy artisans and crooks. That’s why our politicians are also corrupt. Look at the bad roads, power outages and water shortages yet we have gold, oil and so many natural resources yet Ghana is not developed as we should. The citizenry are just like our political leaders. All they see is money.

sorry but Ghana sounds like a really abusive relationship, and AA's talk about Ghana like an abusive relationship, I'm not sure why we are attracted to that.
Try Rwanda, no land scams there, the system is digitized and scammers are punished, the president doesn't play. I purchased several beautiful plots and plan to buy more.
There are other investment opportunities. You are familiar with the area. Time to learn the language. At least I found you to help navigate. Your journey is real.
When ever i hear someone is going back to the US, i feel bad for this petson, but i shouldn't because everyone has their own reason. Return back maybe the best reason at this time for this person. I would advise you to go back, recoup and come back stronger. Maybe not in Ghana, but somewhere else. Based on experience, people who start living abroad never go back to the US for long 😅
No need to feel bad for me. I’m happier and at peace. I’ve lived in 3 countries. So far Cali is the place for me. Africa is not going anywhere. There’s no rush.
That’s what I’m telling her but she wants go to to Tz. I am beginning to understand why you keep getting scammed. Like for real. Tz is having problems with black Americans. Kenya land sales is modern and so is Rwanda but I think you are set in your own world or into doing things on your own. You can do that but do it in a country where the system works, not Ghana or Tz. Like how are you getting scammed twice ? 😮😐😒
@TheChariot99 you are so off. I said im going to TZ. Never mentioned doing business. You are really emotionally involved by the wording of your comment. Thanks for caring so much.
Am I missing something here? Why does it take 3 years to get deeds for the land? In Kumasi, I bought land off a chief and got the deeds immediately. Is Accra process different?
What else would you like to share? You are what I call an algorithm blesser. Please keep sharing what you feel is so necessary for us to hear. You are so welcomed here.
The beachfront is not a loss. It’s just majorly delayed. The first property I purchased is a loss. My neighbors and I at the beachfront are patiently waiting for the developer to do his part so we can get our deeds.
That is a solid point but if my heart is not there. Building would be even more stressful. Forcing myself to build for what and for who? There’s other places I can go. My future is where peace is. Money and wealth can be found anywhere but not peace.
Don't sell that land! What's peace got to do with it? If you think Ghana land buying is stressful, please come let me show you what stress is buying land in the southern part of Nigeria, in the same city I grew up in. My grey hairs developed more grey hairs just buying land I intend to use for farming...and I would do it again and again. You will surely not be happy 10 years from now if you let that beach property go. I would give am arm to own thar delicious piece of real estate just surrounded by beautiful black people. To me, that's PEACE!!!
@@iAmLeslieJones Leslie take your time and make your decisions because i like you as a sister try and think about it before Do you no the reason why you are in Ghana or back to the mother land This things happen to everyone even the citizens We all no it's a mistake that has happened but same mistake can lead you to your happiness don't give up the fight You are not a stranger on the mother land so don't give up the fight We all support you
So sorry, Leslie it didn't work out for you in Ghana. KAS Estate is real fraud. To other diasporans, in order to attain success in Ghana always work with people or businesses based on recommendations from people you know. Don't assume anything, just work with recommendation from trusted sources.
It's unfortunate that this woman had such a negative experience trying to buy land in Ghana. I know it is unfair to judge the majority based on the actions of a few. However, you would be foolish not to have your guard up and look out for the red flags when doing business there.
A decision made in an Emotionally imbalance state…yes. Foolishness…no. A country taking advantage of a 400 year trauma…yes. Some repatriates win. Even more lose. Ghana is imploding which is why the reliance on IMF loan funding. Ghana has the power to build itself. Wish them the best.
@@iAmLeslieJones Emotional imbalance or capitalizing on 400 years of trauma is not accurate. There were some dishonest Ghanaians who saw a single woman from America and decided to exploit the situation. Therefore, if you had gone there with a man, the outcome would have been much different because some of the mistakes you made are basic errors that would have been addressed.
@nothingbutfacts1676 Instead of covering up your fellow men fraudulent and negligent behavior with misogyny and sexism. Come to accept the system is not ready. My first property was handled by a man. I used land liaisons and I was apart of a 70 people community. So what’s the excuse now?
@@iAmLeslieJones My initial statement remains unchanged: it's unjust to hold the majority responsible for the actions of a few. However, you've shifted the discussion towards misogyny and sexism. Property and land scams occur globally and are not limited to Ghana. Yet, based on your past negative encounter, it seems you've become adept at recognizing warning signs therefore what's the debate?
My dear baby sister Leslie, an ode from your big Ghanaian brother. Very best wishes with your endeavors. There is a lot to explore so please do so. You have Ghanaian features it would be tough to believe that you don’t have Ghanaian DNA. Ghana should have been good for you. Adjusting to Africa and life outside the West is not easy. That said, Ghana is not too bad. It is relatively safer, people of African descent enjoy the right of abode (less visa issues), and even easier citizenship. Ghanaians are also hospitable. The challenge with the due diligence process of land acquisition is something that needs improvement. Otherwise, it is a true ancestral home. I think the only mistake I observed from following your channel were two incidents of sensationalism: when you said the KAS guy had laid his hands on you, something Ghanaian culture frowns upon, and your quick broadcast of Ghanaians destroying African American properties in Cape Coast without doing due diligence. You started losing credibility from that point. So, I hope that lesson is well learned. Very best wishes. You are always welcome home.
He did more than lay his hands on me. You think you are complimenting me and sending me a farewell. What you just did is cover up your misogyny and oppressive programming with a compliment while simultaneously covering up for the offense of the behavior of your fellow man. Which you were not there to even comment on. Regarding the demolition it’s in the courts right now and they paid the victim so he wouldn’t keep talking to the public. Regarding credibility…every step, every video has taken me to the next level within this community and within your own governmental leadership. So “please,I beg.” Remove yourself completely from my page because your misogynistic micro aggression overlayed with a compliment is no longer welcomed.
