Officials: Suspected ISIS member lived freely in US for nearly two years after crossing border

U.S. officials say a 33-year-old suspected member of ISIS, Jovokhir Attoev, was arrested two weeks ago by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They say the migrant crossed the U.S.-Mexico border early in 2022, but it took authorities nearly a year to discover he was here after Uzbekistan put out an international alert. NBC News' Julia Ainsley reports.

isis has been targetting the families of veterans for years. no one knew better. i didnt even know. however while doing nothing completely 24/7 i was able to point people in the right direction and now we have a safer america.

we live right by the Canadian border and as Americans were scared to go. most people around here have never been. security is so tight, and we see border patrol, state, local, unmarked government and tribal police constantly (glad for that). we have passports as many do but Canada will detain you tear your car apart and nobody wants the hassle. we sure get a lot of Canadians here though.
