I giggled like a stupid child when my brain managed to process what was actually going on. This was peak shitposting and somewhat ironically amazing PR. Pippa has gotten so good at riding an incredibly fine line of plausible deniability while still managing to make her thoughts known. A not so subtle mockery of another infamous black stream whilst demonstrating the pure wholesome chaos that is phase connect.

@@akiradkcn cuz there are some sensitive babies in the volunteer staff at the convention that think the phase girls are too edgy, racist, homophobic, etc, and they didnt want to rock the boat at the con. Kirsche was black listed from participating at the con cuz a few of the VOLUNTEER staff didnt like her

She published the full DMs between her and the guy in charge she talked to, and it basically came down to some volunteers complaining about pretty benign tweets. Another con tried to cancel Pippa the year before but Sakana said either all of us go or none of us, but Kirsche had a derp moment and though it was offkai. Because if that the supervisor basically admitted the same thing happened there. As far as enough volunteers bailing that they would have to cancel, where did you get that info? Because it's not in any of the official communications. It just said some people were fans of hers and some didn't want her there. That's it. We had no information on numbers. Were you involved with the con staff?
@@Duamerthrax That's a big assumption considering whoever was complaining about Pippa apparently wasn't a big enough deal to call off the con last year. And the person she talked to already said there were people on staff who wanted her there but that clearly wasn't enough, so I don't know what back channels you could be referencing. It's pretty clear you just don't like her or her opinions.

This is honestly the best stream i've ever listened to and i've got plenty of white hairs in my head. the most expensive team of hollywood writers couldn't write half these jokes with all the time in the world. Pippa is the main character of Phase and it's very cool, and extremely rare, that all the other women accept it ! She's not only the most successful, but she's the one that cares the most about vtubing in general, but the Phase in particular. She's "all in" in a way none of the other girls can even begin to imagine. This is why The Ripper triggers her so much, that's her exposing her soul to the outside like an autistic crustacean. A lot of Phase lore is confirmed here by their reactions. Lumi is the Ice Queen, just a little smarter and prettier than all other girls. She pretends she doesn't know it, but she does. Airi and Dizzy are the 2 extremes of big booba girls : either completely owning the trump card the universe gave you, or completely fumbling it with every single opportunity. But Dizzy too knows that her big booba will always give her another chance. Lia is all talk, we all knew that. Tenma is 100 times cooler in real life than any of them. and any of us reading this. You know it's kinda sad, I've always envied the kind of ditsy, light-hearted, affectionate fun that women have when they hang out together.
