@@puddingmaster444 Playing with a loud crowd behind you seems super unfun. Like, there is nothing wrong with the crowd for getting hyped, obviously, but man, I imagine it must be super distracting for the players. Also, getting cheered AGAINST must feel pretty terrible, while at the same time it's also hyping up your opponent to play better.
@@hatboi124 Yeah, but that happens everywhere and in every Esport and every sport. The difference is, Light could've put on headphones. He has a direct advantage over for example a baseball player who isn't playing on home field.
Being a top player is really difficult, the people hopes you to win every single match because if you don't, you inmidiately are a bad player, also your opponent will be the underdog so will have more support than you. Light hope you can back stronger, you are a very good player 💪🏼 Ketchup you did it godlike! Keep the hard work due to this is not lucky, you are really good man! 😊💪🏻
@@Hector-junko dudes a negative prick, literally his last couple comments were being negative you can check his profile. I get not liking a players play style or character choice but to dislike a person and shit on others that like them is next level. Need to get outside more cus it aint that serious.
@@MicWellz Bjr is NOT Low Tier, but he sure as hell doesn't break anything but bottom of high. He's he's not some huge secret monster, just a decent character that's largely overlooked due to a few glaring flaws and being inherently unpopular.
@@PurposeDriven7_ he’s still really good, don’t get me wrong but in my opinion other people are also getting better. He did win push the limit though so thats not bad.
The last stock, then watching Ketchup get absolutely swarmed by SoCal while the venue cheers for him and the commentators lose it is the best fucking thing I’ve ever seen. It’s why I love this game. So hype. Defend the city baybee.
It's bracket luck. There was a lot of good players at this tournament. And the koopalings are not common enemies. Also he mentioned on Twitter that he knows he played poorly because he was getting himself cornered. Light WILL come back stronger soon
@@megachris2610 Yes for sure! There are a lot of good characters, and even the "bad characters" have some good tools that keep them from having unwinnable matchups. There are no unwinnable matchups and the gap between tiers isn't that big, this is truly amazing that they somehow balanced a roster of over 80 characters
@@megachris2610 "Everyone has a chance to win" yeah that's why you've never seen a Ganondorf in Grands. Most balanced smash game still isn't necessarily a balanced game, characters like Joker just outclass certain characters in basically everything
@@willycheez7218 not every character can win a grands but they can forsure take a game off any tier forsure most balanced smash game since smash bros came out
Light biggest enemy is impatience. And that can be a huge problem for a light char like fox. One rushed upsmash like in 10:22 lead to a disadvantge stage that lost him the set.
He’s not the best skilled , young eevee plays Jr like Wolf But Ketchup is the one which has the highest result Two stocking cosmos pre-quarantine A set from Mkleo Now winning Light and Ned
Man's hasn't been present in the online era at all bc of fox being ass online, give him some time to actually bounce back. Considering covid is still a very real issue in the US. Beat marss and won that big tournament a month ago like he's not rusty. He just missed out on a year of competition compared to everyone else
@@pjbutter8284 He did more than win that big tournament, the only game he dropped during that entire tournament was in grands. I don't know, I guess he's just really inconsistent right now.
@@pjbutter8284 come to think of it, did ZD ever play during quarantine? I only remember ever seeing him offline. His Wolf woulda shown results online if anything. Then again, he seems like the type of player to like offline more.
Light has some rust on him. He was not attending online tournaments since the pandemic Bc fox is bad online. He also said on stream he has not been practicing much. Like I can see that when he played Friendlies with void and cosmos before hand. He is missing tech chases (which he almost never used to miss). He has been messing up down air into up smash as a true combo. He just needs to practice more.
@@hastyhd5040 Idk, I main Jr, I don’t think a high tier should struggle with neutral so badly and have a literally 0% Gimp. But nonetheless, ketchup is definitely one of, if not THE best Jr
@@_prom_2261 I main jr has well and can say his neutral is hard to figure out but once you do the character's strengths start to shine. he has a good recovery in general and if you mix it up gimping is rare.
@@hastyhd5040 His strengths are mostly getting out of disadvantage almost for free and range. But Jr can do nothing to camping with a shield offline, many characters are just better than him in neutral. Like let’s be honest, Light got greedy at the end of the set and that’s the only reason he lost. Ran into up b, panicked, missed the tech. Here - yeah, jr can punish you HARD and comeback any time. But if opponent keeps playing patiently, we’ll see the second Light game all over again, unfortunately
It almost seemed like after losing the first game he took the mask off on purpose and got closer to Ketchup to try to distract him or some garbage. It didn’t work and as a result we get to see the pure salt on his maskless face when he loses.
@@hatboi124 think whatever you want, fan boi. It’s perfectly reasonable to wonder if someones tryin to play head games in a competitive match. It’s part of every sport. I don’t know who either of these players are, but I do know removing your mask like that was likely violating tournament rules.
@@Sickentist I think he should have kept his mask on as well, but I doubt he was doing it specifically to try to distract his opponent or something. The mind games are the conditioning that takes place within the game, not trying to distract your opponent irl. That's ridiculous. Light is a top player because he is very skilled at the game, I HIGHLY doubt he removed his mask for any reason other than to get more comfortable, and probably also so he can focus on the game better as well. Regardless, the mask definitely should have stayed on.
I don't think it is. He's performing worse than two years ago compared to rest of the playerbase and Fox got buffed meanwhile. Also even if this is MU inexperience for a top 10 player I expect to see him winning the tournament or at least making in the top 8. Instead he lost in the first round of top 24 vs Scend (BestNess). And if there is a thing Online is good for (and two years of practice vs different players are good for) is MU exp since you face a lot of players during tournaments that happen with an high frequency.
@@ispitfire1 That's another whole question. 1) Marss didn't play the game for like a year before becoming a content creator pretty much and he needs to grind again (he lost vs a Kazuya in the same tournament too). 2) ZSS got nerfed and Fox got buffed during quarantine. 3) it was the first offline Marss tournament (Light played in different offline tourneys before Push the Limit).
Props to light for being a trooper, but the rest of us have moved on. Larry, ZD, void, charliedaking, nakat, eon, xurak, literally every other top Fox has switched mains for ultimate.
@@Ki-gz8ve Not saying its not tho both players are beasts and Ketchup did outplay Light well. Fox is still a great character but not as good as Smash 4 or prior games imo.
@@lokks2130 two billion characters in this game and you're surprised bjr can go even w fox w that safe ass jab kill confirm and ez kill nair tech chase kills 😭
Man, someone told me Light was washed... And they were right. This was a huge Mu test and he failed it. Congrats to Ketchup, nonetheless. This was the most entertaining set to watch last night, imho
bowser jr. is such a B. bunch lagging hits and rapid safe moves and camping. It is such a cowardly character. God Damn I didnt know ssbu was this toxic. JC
