Awesome video guys! We love working with the OC team and bringing these trucks to life! They do an amazing rear setup and we dial in the rest of the vehicle to suit the extra weights 👊👌
Incredible setup. As an American looking at how these heavy duty rigs are used in your neck of the world, it's so drool worthy. 😅👍💪🤤 You guys are killing it and more power to you for finding and partnering with a company that sees your vision. 👍 Funny to see that other guy use the infomercial and then tell you how it should have been set up.😮😅 I used infomercial once when you were talking to the owner of the build company on the lawn, about how the build came together and a bit of history , on heavy duty trucks. But it was a complement because you both provided value while raising awareness about the quality of the build and the direction rig are going. You got it too. Congratulations again on your success and travels.👍💪 Can't wait for you to do a Lap around the USA
Thank you so much! We are trying to be as informative as we can - so many people are interested in building similar trucks - so we try to help as much as we can 😁🙏🏼
Wow, now that’s a Great setup. Go anywhere, do anything Truck. I would Love to convert my Truck into something like this. The Fit and Finish is Perfect. Big Salute from Texas. Well done Guys.👍👍
Wow, an exceptional canopy. Congratulations. There has been a lot thought put into this. The camera set-up is fantastic, with the digital rear vision camera and having a socket for the rear of the caravan when required. I have seen many ute canopies/caravans that do not allow for rear vision, thereby being fully depended upon the side mirrors only.
@@AussieDestinationsUnknown The person(s) that have bought your canopy will no doubt be very happy and have great adventures with it. Wishing you all the best with your new canopy build. Looking forward to seeing it in the future. Cheers.
Awesome build 👏 the company has taken their time and alot of effort for such a beautiful canopy 😊took pride in their work 💯 alot of storage 😀 👏 👍 Got my time zone mixed 🤪 up between🕐🕖 Australia 🇦🇺 and South Africa 🇿🇦 Once again congrats on a beautiful rig Greetings and cheers 🍻 mate from south africa 🇿🇦 💙 🙌 🇿🇦
Hi guys, as I stated earlier I really liked your detailed rundown of your canopy. If you don’t mind I have 2 questions: 1) what is your gvm / rear axle load rating and are you close to it? / 2) I read a particularly toxic comment ( I like how you truely handled it 👍) do you get many of those types of comments?
Hey mate, the GVM of the truck is 5500kg and rear axle loads are just on 3t. Tare weight is 5100kg and yep we are pretty much maxed out with our weights. Mind you, we have packed pretty much everything we need for life on the road. Haha yep we get a few haters. Doesn’t really bother us. We just put them back in their place and move on. Most the time it’s just jealousy
Thank you for the information- I have placed an order for a 2024 model ram 3500hd Laramie and a 20’9 vacationer Dakar , looking at the same crews that did your fit out for both vehicle upgrades/ as well as canopy. Guy’s stay safe and live life and enjoy 👍🇦🇺
After 40 years as a light automotive mechanic we always used to say about people that own diesels “there are those that have misfueled them & there are those that will”. 😂
Great video! We are looking at buying the Chev 2500 next year! Fulling loaded without the van what’s you’re GVM sitting how and how much do you get in total being on truck rego?
Can I ask we are looking at the enerdrive adventurer package with 2000watt inverter. Will this run the smart air fryer by breville that you have set up in your canopy? Or do you think I need to go bigger inverter? Thank you.
I’m not sure sorry - I think it’s between 2200-2500? Our Phillips is 2225. You need an inverter bigger than what it draws. FYI - a 2000w inverter won’t boil a kettle. 2600w is probably better depending on what you want to use it for.
This is the one I have been waiting for. Awesome canopy and awesome company. I have been in contact with them and I have been waiting for this vid. Where are the twin compressors located ? Do you know the weight of the canopy without all your stuff inside? Is the paint work to match your truck or is that a powder coat black only? Do you have a pull out bench under the drawers on the driver side? When I watch the vid again o sure to have more questions Thanks heaps awesome tourer.
Thanks guys! Yep it’s an amazing team. My compressors are located under the tray where the spare wheel use to sit. Sorry I don’t know the height measurements. The canopy is 2 pak finish to match the truck. No slide out bench on the drivers side. I wanted as much drawer storage as possible
Love the new rig, just a question, why didn’t you put on airbag man suspension so you could lower the rig for use as you clearly can’t at the height it is. Also just a personal point, I would prefer Victron electric systems as they are higher quality but thats just my opinion.
Thanks…Airbag man doesn’t do a replacement bag system. Kellerman in the states do one. We chose to stay away from this complex system…too risky for the places that we go. We have been using Enerdrive for over 5 years and it’s never let us down. I’ve heard lots of issues with victrons after sales service in australia.
Pantry has a stack of food? You drink Ajax? Sounds too much like an infomercial! I wouldn’t fry anything on that induction cooker and unless you were wearing full PPE, otherwise you would burn yourself. Do you guys have portable scaffolding to acces your canopy?
What a childish comment - and what you would or wouldn’t do in our canopy is irrelevant. It’s ours. We cook on the induction all the time with no problem at all. Now please leave our platform as we don’t have room in our world for rude people like you 👍🏼👋🏼
@@AussieDestinationsUnknown not childish at all, nothing wrong with your canopy it is nicely setup, but I did see a child have her face drowned in hot from exactly the same scenario setup. Just pointing out the blatantly obvious!
Technically it is a DEF filler not a “ adblue” filler, yes I am picky but if you go to 90 % of the countries, in the world, if you say adblue, they are going to scratch their heads. If you say Diesel exhaust fluid, they will understand.
