Still nibbling away at it. Moving into my shed & building a 2 storey house single handedly has forced this project onto the back burner for reasons of time & $$$. But we just moved into the house so things will resume shortly.
I've answered this about a thousand times. I lost my job & had to retire. We sold our house and moved to the mountains where we moved into a new shed while I built a 2 storey house single handedly. Then my wife had to stop work due to medical issues. All my time & little $$$ had to go into the house, but we just moved in. I still have this buggy under sheets in my shed, but realized at 70 I have limited racing time left, so have put all my efforts into rebuilding my V6 Civic into a Sports Sedan hill climber.
If I wanted to do a 4x4 V6 Buggy and found a wrecked 4x4 V6 SUZ. How can I make the layout rear engine? Won’t the front differential have to be turned into a rear differential? Please answer the question anyone.
Just when I'd heard all the car ideas! Why do you want a 4wd mud engined buggy? Is this idea just sparked by having a Suzy dropped in your lap? What would you plan to use for the front diff & axle link up? If you keep the motor facing forward but move it to the back you won;t need 4wd - unless you're building a swamp buggy. This would be a VERY complicated build!
great job Bill, it's going to look the duck guts when it's finished mate !!! It was nice to see Sophie come in from time to time to check on progress and probably give an opinion or two !! Haha !! Seeya Rob.........for this class of racing is there a weight the buggy needs to be under or is it a open class sort of thing !!
No weight or capacity issues within the state buggy classes I run. Everyone else has gone for mega lightweight (wishbones & chassis way too small tubing IMHO), motor bike engines and mega high revs. I am going the complete opposite...strength rather than flimsy, and 300bhp with 325nm of torque.
