What Front Tow Hooks and D-Ring Shackles on the Transsyberia? Awesome video!

Cheers Dude, the tow hooks are custom, modified hitch receivers then attached to the custom winch bar. 👍

Hey bro, I watched all your porsche vids, Beast! I need your help, a little bit confused from what I read all around, the non-turbo (S/GTS) 957 is the best option but #1 - Do all the 957 S & the GTS have rear diff lock and high-low range? #2 - Do all the 957 S & the GTS have Air Suspension? #3 - Shall I get the 957 S or the 957 GTS? most of my off-road is in the desert/Sand.

The V6 is also a contender, but for sand the HP from the V8 would be better.. even the Turbo would be an option but if wanting much bigger tyres the intercoolers can be a pita. All 955/957 have low range & locking centre diff. finding the The locking rear is like finding rocking horse shit! The GTS is great for a bit extra HP but it is lower. so if on air, height links would be required to regain the height. No not all have air suspension but unlike the locking rear, air suspension is common! Steel springs are more reliable but will need a lift kit, & can't lower it to get into short carparks/garage. think I have covered most but also join facebook.com/groups/484150522226556/

From your experience, what engine/trim version is best for fast and easy offroad conversion ? Right now im looking for something comfortable for light offroad and gravel roads. I quess underbody protection and good tires are the must, maybe some lift. Right own LR Defender, but i'm looking for something comfortable for weekend excursions. ta

The V6 Base is a great platform, & easier to add snorkel, if like me you need the V8 just because, it’s not that much harder to add snorkel, after that the v6 & the V8 are basically the same to mod. Turbo has intercoolers to deal with & the GTS is slightly lower. I like my air suspension but depending on your climate air can be unreliable (extreme cold/heat) 957 would be my suggestion as it had the issues ironed out from the 955 but the 955 is still fantastic! The 958+ loose the centre lock & low range & definitely not built as tuff.

@@porscheoff-road4083 Big thanks for your reply. So, for my understanding, if I want larger tires, and maybe lift, non-turbo version is the best option ? I did some research and i think 265/65/18 should fit non-turbo version without larger problem. In my opinion, even with slight modifications it would be much comfortable than defender and suit my needs. My plan, if i decide to go that route, is to get tires first, maybe some skid plates, and later, after some time, if really needed getting Eurowise air lift kit. I know, there was offroad package with rear difflock and detachable sway bar, but was it also available for no-turbo versions?

@ Way nicer to drive than a defender. Non turbo is all round easier. Yes Tyres 1st then protection then winch etc etc Off-Road package is hard to find, if you find one get it regardless of just about anything else... But most importantly Service History!!!!
