It was a hard day for me today so when i finally got to kick back and put my feet up i was pleasantly surprised to see your video pop up, made my day! I always enjoy watching your adventures. This one had some great camera work, great content all around. I understand what you meant by riding to the top in a vehicle, it does seem a little less rewarding somehow. I find that, like flying and sailing, four wheeling is most rewarding when I am the one at the controls, and in the barest, most basic craft. You might find more reward as captain than crew.
I haven't had a chance to get away and do any off roading for a number of years ( live in Alberta ) but have done a few of the very cool mountain trails in Colorado, trails that would have been made during the gold rush era. I tented out of my pickup along the way and no my pickup was not the type of rig that should have been on most of those trails, got some strange shocked looks and comments. Some very interesting mine building ruins and old ghost towns, again left behind from the gold mining era. As to forestry, that is a topic all right as per peoples requirements on this planet but as you know yourself, had no tree been cut down you would not have had wood to line you're van with nor had that tiny home existed as it does.
That sounds awesome! I love ghost towns!! And yeah forestry is definitely something we rely on it’s just hard to see all of the trees cut down I guess, like idk what the alternative would be but still sad to see the empty spaces of no trees between the forests
@@marcianastasia5564 Thank you for the kind reply !. Yes that is my speed in life you could say as per being in rural/back country spaces due to the fact I grain farm and grew up on this farm so I am one who avoids the "cement jungle" as I term cities. Unfortunately a place like Colorado has become so popular for four wheeling in the last number of years and since I was last there its a lot worse I hear as people moving in from California etc has diminished the charms that even I experienced, property values gone through the roof and so forth. I don't know if you are familiar with the Grande Prairie area of Alberta but that is the area where I farm and the other major industries are the oil field and forestry, and why GP has exploded in population and with it sadly the low lifes and the crime. One thing that is different this summer and last, no steady stream of RV's coming up from the States as they head to Alaska like there normally would be which of course has hit the tourist and service industries a lot here and all the way to and in Alaska.
