Offstage Hang Podcast with Rayms Marasigan and Daren Lim episode 7 Jon Dela Cruz Elegee Custom Guitars Zoom Podtrack P4 at JB Music Superlux mics at DnD Guitars
Idol sir John! I know its just a simple thing to do pero ano bang malay ko sa ganun. Saludo idol! Thanks for another quality content sir Rayms and sir Daren.
had my guitar set up at sir jon's old sta mesa shop way back 2007. before sir jon, my go to luthiers were sir arie and jun castro. both are great luthiers too, but there's something different about sir jon. with sir jon kasi may pagka "homey" yung shop nya at yung pakikitungo nya sa clients. he is very friendly. i visit him once a year or minsan once every 2 years pero kilala ka pa rin nya ako. he values his clients. 2018 finally nagpagawa na ako ng custom elegee guitar ko. it took me years to decide how my custom guitar should look like and how it should feel like. very simple lang yung custom guitar ko, some say napamahal ako dahil sa sobrang simple nito, pero all i can say is it was worth every peso i paid for.
Sir, do you have any idea magkano basic setup sa kanila? Action lqng naman and palit saddle and nut to bone. Kahit ballpark figure lang. Thanks in advance!
Grabe, sobrang inspiring ni Sir Jon! Tama yung description ni sir Darren - National Artist for Filipino Guitar Manufacturing and Cultural Promotions.
You can really feel Sir Jon's passion for his craft because of how enthusiastic he is, to the point that it seems like he's still getting chills about it, while telling the story of how he got into his line of work.
wow , galing mabuhay sir Jon! panahon talaga namin may mga wood working at iba pa sana ibalik ng DEPED puro research ngayon mga bata more on PC or CP , walang alam sa actual works
Spoke to a former d&d fellow and he did mention that Elegee made the #001 guitar of the signature series of artists. It’s very costly, solid lahat components. But the d&d magic is, even the mass produced units sound excellent. Even the artist agreement is very fair. Astig d&d!!!
Epic story of Sir Jon what a great passion for music..sooner makabibili din ako nyang Elegee at D&D.. great Job sir Raymund for featuring sir Jon of Elegee.
wow ganda ng episode na to. ung humble beginnings ni sir nakaka inspire plus ganda ng ending ng video.... reintroducing old culture to todays music makes you wonder what lies ahead if that 'instrument' comes out ( i don't want to spoil the video coz the man's story is just so inspiring)... the possibilities are endless!!!! kinikilabutan ako sa idea grabe!!! great job Raims and Daren!
kudos . makiktia mo tlaga yung passion ng tao. the way he speak. kaya finollow ko agad page nya sa soc meds first time ko plang mapanood ung vids nya while scrolling
.salamat more power elegee and sir Raymond
I admire Sir Jon. More power to you, Sir Jon! Maraming Salamat.
Solid! There's no shortcut to a specific field & expertise. Others say "innate talent or skills help make it a bit achievable in a shorter time". I would agree to disagree, & wouldn't deny it either therefore I can always acknowledge it. Therefore I can say with confidence that the more time we dedicate ourselves to mastering a craft, along with the utmost respect, passion, confidence to be the best is something the element of time will bring us to our hitting our life goals. And also, the never ending thirst for learning new things should always be something that we strive to achieve. The moment we stop learning is the moment we stop improving ourselves.
