WOW! The servos are fidgeting because the LX thinks it's gonna get sent again. PTSD, just like bringing home a rescue dog that hasn't had a good life. Nitrogang to the rescue. ❤
Hey man, I think you’re totally correct about that. This buggy surely had a very tough life because the owner told me he only drives Arma now, lol I’m thinking once I bend back the chassis, I will just stick another engine and it should be fine.
Hey man, yes, you got that right for sure. I have never seen a tough 1/8 scale buggy chassis. This bent so much that it also bent the entire driveshaft, lol
hey my bro! I sure got my work cut out for me on this one. But seriously straightening to the chassis is no big deal, just going to have to source another engine and it will be a Vintage Runner!!! Thanks man.
Thank you bro! Glad somebody appreciates the jokes once in a while, lol!! Now time to learn more about my new 3D printer bro, ttyl! Making some nitro RC parts now.
nice video man good to see what's it like when your engine lost compression mabe this is good projekt to put the 75 dollar force 21 engine in from ali...
hey dude! thanks for checking out this video! YEs, im planing on just bending back some of the parts and sticking in an older Savage engine I have laying around, it will be a runner!
That was my first OFNA. they're a beast. Bro did you know the Dynamite. 28 is the same exact Engine.you could a piston and sleeve kit and as long as the bearings are ok it would be like New Engine Brother. 👊 Hope that helps out . 👊 👊
Hey dude, thank you for checking out this video and appreciating this style of Contant. It might not have been a massive skate park with jumps for no reason, but we are one step closer to making a Nitro grade again. See you on the next one.
I know man, I totally agree. This is for sure probably the worst Nitro I’ve ever gotten. The only good thing is it’s complete, the bad thing is everything that’s complete as bad, lol
Hey man, thanks for checking out this video and supporting the Nitro struggle, I think a new engine and just some work straightening out this chassis and this thing should be fine. As you know, I will do whatever it takes to make this thing a driver.
just got me a hobao hyper 7 PBS hyper 21 needs tlc but it gonna be a long term project mate. been in storage shed for nearly 20 years for £100 uk pounds. it runs too :) seen it running but has a lot of storage dirt build up and dont think it has a shell but i can get easy enough.. 275 uk pounds in my shopping cart for it with local hobby shop. its mint mate but ill see by the weekend when i get it what it needs :)
I have that in the truggy version with a ofna .28 engine ,you called the engine a force engine ,is that who made ofna engines ? Trying to find a one way bairing for the roto start.
Hey bro! Just saw and accepted your NitroGang FB group request! Thanks again and welcome to the BEST Nitro RC Facebook group with far less jerks in it than some others. lol, seriouslY!!
Hey dude, I know exactly exactly the vintage of the buggies you are referring to with the various colored wheels. It was usually the hyper seven and the ultra MBX buggies at that time. Period also, you could’ve easily just purchased the multiple color tires ofna sold back then
Hey man, I’m happy to hear it. We should all be trying to make old Nitro great again, the more of us there are the better this will work. The end goal is to influence manufacturers to bring back more nitrous and we need the numbers to make that happen. I will go subscribe to you right away.
hey dude! Some people have suggested this in the past, to be honest with you it is likely to be unsuccessful due to the tiny tolerances you need to pinch a sleeve. Usually people use a re pinch service charges about $25 per engine, I have used the service like this before and they all re pinched my sleeves to the point where I can't even spin the engine over.
Hey man, wow, no way! I’m happy to be able to bring you a video with something you can truly appreciate and hopefully it has brought back some positive memories. I will be sure to make this one a driver in the future.
Hey man, thank you for checking out this video. I hope you me, and everybody else watching this video is on the same path as us trying to make another Nitro great, again. See you on the next one bro.
bro! LOL, same here!! I had no idea this thing was so BENT and damaged, but I'm thinking there is no reaosn why I cant just bend the chassis back and swap in a basic savage engine laying around right?
While its not a fancy buggy it is in alot of ways ofna was one of the first to come out with the "buggy" before many others and they are like the hondas of rc world they arnt fancy but what you get for the price and what Its able to do is alot i have soo many rare upgrades for the ofna lx1 from torsen diffs and transmission to have the integy tranny gear swapped in its got shocks from the new losi series big bore and im rocking a corsa lugna wrx engine i love my ofna was the first i got and ive had it since a kid and i wouldnt buy a newer buggy over it , also ive crashed mine way worse than this parts are still cheap but getting harder to find , i crashed mine bc the remote i was using was on a different chanel crystal and it would go full throttle until it hit a car tire from the back it hit the car so hard the entire car rocked forward and everything was bent even the drive shafts they always take the hit first but i bent them back and it worked fine now everything is modernized on my ofna its a shelf queen
Wow that’s is the worst OFNA I have ever seen. And I am the best OFNA you have ever seen! There are issues on so many levels. I would not spend any money on new parts. It’s clear to me when there is a bad chassis bad radio and bad engine and missing filters etc that the seller has just whacked together all his broken spares to maximise profit. Part it out as spares to regain your investment. XOX 💋
I will definitely confirm. This is for sure. The worst OFNA buggy I have ever purchased, and you are most certainly the best OFNA chick in the world. I’m thinking I will probably just bend the chassis back and try to put in a random Savage engine into this and it should be pretty much drivable after that.
Thanks man! I'd say the best think about a 1/8 buggy is that the engine and it's components are super universal and often the cheapest to replace due to the sheer availability of new engines for cheap. The chassis, I could just bend it back, should be fine.
I know man, this is why I just had to rescue this one. Although I did not expect it to be in such poor condition, but I’m quite sure it will be made drivable again soon. Nitro for life.
Hey bro! Im considering that right now also, the rest of the engine looks to be in normal shape, that would be the only way to help this model original, you're right! thanks bro!.
