To those who said that it is unfair: the ball is thrown before the 30:00, so it will be counted as goal. That's the rule. South Korea and Norway are both very good handball nations, so it's better to look forward to possible future matches between these two nations, rather than watch old matches and complain...
Which rule? I can't find anything supporting that in the IHF rules. Rather rule 9:1 states among other things that: "A goal cannot be awarded if a referee, timekeeper or delegate has interrupted the game before the ball has completely crossed the goal line". This part of the rule is the same in at least the 2010 and 2016 versions of the rules, and I would the think the rules prior to 2010 would have the same wording (although I haven't been able to find the earlier rules).
Seoul-1988 ( Scandal Boxing tournament with south korean Boxers), World Cup-2002 ( Scandal Matches : Italy- South Korea, Spain - South Korea) ; Olympics-2012 ( Scandal with South Korean Fencer : Shin-A-Lam in a 1/2 semifinal fight against German Fencer) ; Olympic Handball-2008 ( Scandal in 1/2 Semi-Final against Norwey) and other Scandals related with South Korean Corrupt Athlets and Corrupt Sport !!!!
That is a basketball rule. In handball, ball should be across a line before game is over. Check rule 9:1 "A goal cannot be awarded if a referee, timekeeper or delegate has interrupted the game before the ball has completely crossed the goal line."
Goodxfriend. It doesn't matter. If you throw the ball before 30:00 and it's over the line after 30:00 it counts as a goal. I know because I play handball my self :-)
Mikkel Henning No you idiot, handball rules are totally different from basketball. Thus, if the ball is behind the line after 30:00 it should not be considered as a goal.
Danskene er med all respekt en stor håndballnasjon. De er desverre ikke med i det store selskapet for tiden, men det kan de fort bli igjen. De er historiske.
