I think story stared with Raymond. Raymond was in a gang called the Baby Avenues, and he broke away from them and flirted with the Panther membership, but there was a helluva shootout in 1969 at the Panther's L.A. Headquarters on Broadway, near Slauson. The cops (with FBI help) were trying to destroy the Panthers. Raymond was my cousin's friend, and we all went to Bret Harte Jr. Hi, then Washington Hi, which is where he and Tookie hooked up in 1970.
Out of all these so called ogs etc and all of the stories they ever told none of them ever mentioned adding any type of value/safety to the communities they boost/brag about coming from all they did was play a role in poisoning/killing/destroying them and these are people yall glorify and look up too?
If you watch the whole clip you would see he’s not glorifying gang banging. I think he and Charleston agree on everything until it comes to the disrespect of the dead
@@Runitup84 he literally says at the end of the clip his past is nothing nice he doesn’t like talking about it, he’s only answering questions. Cut that shit out bro , you know what you doing
Plumb pitiful. Taking pride in robbing your own people that's trying to enjoy a concert. And I'M sure a lot of the robbery victims were elderly. How would he feel if karma came around and some youngster robbed or harmed him? ®2021
Why would it be pride its the history.. When celeberties tell they story when actors tell they story when athletics tell their story no problem yet we survived.. Then when we speak its bragging. Fact check. Ive been doing civil rights 27 years now.. Check my resume lets hear yours for serving the community.. Probably none..
That concert story similar to a incident that happened in Detroit at Cobo Hall in around 1976 lol. I give the gangs credit for being as brave as they was back then.... Other then that it's still to hell with lame gangs
🤦🏾 alot of yall don't understand that 9/10 times, it takes pepole who have actually experienced the lifestyle to get the youth to listen. They not going to listen to someone who hasn't lived it. Wich is why the og sharing these things. Not bragging more like "look how my mind set was". "We Robbed them" we did this n that and now I'm here to tell u it was all bs n not worth it
Melvin Farmer look and sound like an old SSI recipient lol he reminds me of one of those older guys that hang in front of the liquor store asking for change that calls younger men “nephew” 🤣
A lot of people didn’t understand what he was saying CW WAS basically saying fuck nipsey hussle the gang banging alter ego of ermias but he said he respected what ermias did for his community
He and Jemele used to take their shirts off, oil up, and walk up and down the aisles at concerts at the Coliseum, the Forum, or any other place where there were big concerts. Steroids, PCP, and glue is what made Tookie crazy. Find the interview with Bonnie Williams, who is Tookie's ex-wife.
him and CW got the same view, the issue lies in their codes of living. OG stuck in the field so he remains in the character created to survive. The small differences they have are literally based off of how they live presently. CW took the all or nothing approach. There is no gray in the blck and whte for CW he calls it as it is. OG cant stand on that understanding so while they may agree technically on the same issues. OG unfortunately is intimately attached to the life. The things he has done he kinda has to take stances against the approach CW speaks on. As he said if OG changes the way he is the young following who idolize him are still in the field and if you really signed into the life with the work put in you try to renounce it.... its to the morg.....plus he kinda did too much to logically renounce it. he signed in till the casket drop. CW knows this which is why thats their biggest disagreement . CW repeated "i stand on what i believe , i will shoott kll or diee for what i believe.... its indirectly saying to OG you not as solid as you say if you as a man cant renounce it and take the weight that come with it after all the damage he has done to our community indirectly.
Do u even know what ur typing??? seems like jibber jabber. CW is fowl for the sh** he said PERIOD. 🗣️ So If u ain't lived a gang banging life or represented this type of lifestyle U DON'T UNDERSTAND. The End!
@@cxcxchanel3637 who wants to try to understand or justify the actions that comes with gang banging. It's all a choice or lack there of. Stop trying to justify bad behavior. Real men in our communities work, build and foremost protect and raise their families!! Period!
Eventually they changed their life the same way Charleston did Charleston claims to have ran the rolling sixties when he was incarcerated for a short period of time he got put quickly these guys were all active at least 40 years but they changed and they're trying to guide people the different way so what's the difference
Shaun Bank he asked about tookie and the past history.. In fact you didnt even have look at this video periodt. When you read a newspaper there's different section pick one you like and skip the rest.. Take it easy
Naw shaun are peoples always talked of old an new news history teller's or griot's its all been our way since yah turned on the lights on this planet!!! fact's 💯✌️
I agree with most of what Melvin says, but there were much more than 5 Crips under Tookie and Raymond. I went to Washington Hi with them, and I worked at the McDonald's on Manchester and Normandie. They used meet at St. Andrews Park on Saturdays, then 25-30 walked east on Manchester, and I used feed them for a quarter each. Tookie, Blackie, Ricardo (Bub), Conrad and Eric Williams. Mike Concepion, Mouse, Craig Craddock (killed by one of his boys), Donald Archie, and a bunch of others. I only knew them and not involved any of their shit, but my cousin was close to Raymond and I was with him one time when he gave Raymond a ride to the Watts Festival at Will Roger's Park. It must have been 50 of them, just walking through the crowd looking crazy at people. I told my cousin don't ever do that shit with me around again. I believe Raymond Potts is one of Melvin's old buddies. Monster Kodi mentioned Raymond, whose uncle just passed away, and was .you best friend.
Facts i was around then but in 69 70 71.. At st Andrew's there weren't that many back then all them you name i knew good shit you on point facts over falsehood...
@@therealmelvinfarmer8370 Checkout the interview with Tookie's ex-wife Bonnie Williams, who was at Washington High in 1970. She started the females Crips. Her interview is with Kev Mac. I went to all those clubs mentioned too. You mentioned The Lockers, and I sang in the choir at Washington with Fred "Rerun" Berry. Got that picture.
Why do black people hate themselves so much yo. I feel like I am running around saying yo stop punching yourself. I don't see why people can't be proud of their gang if I can be proud of my father as dad. If one is a replacement for the other I don't see what right I have to judge someone on that if they trying to progress and build now. Holy shit Black People, come on please you don't have to uniformly tap dance and be on your best behavior, we are all human. Each and every black person is a person first and foremost, and deserves the dignity and fundamental human right to be judged as a whole human being. I feel like I am yelling this looking forward, then when I back all my friends that are black are hitting each other saying shit like "stop making us look bad."
It’s not about making anyone look bad. It’s about putting your peoples lives in danger, conditioning them to believe a low vibrational survival mode way of life is the only way. If gangs stood by what they were originally created for, Black people would embrace it. I feel the same frustration you feel for us FOR YOU, because in reality YALL GOT IT WRONG, and it’s not rocket science or anything difficult to comprehend. Gangs are literally the embodiment of black people punching themselves so the irony of you using that statement is ridiculous. You’re not questioning why black people would hate themselves so much that they join mass groups and war and kill over land neither owns, but YOUR idea of us hating each other is judging people who love their gangs??? You can’t possibly be this dumb. I won’t believe it. Lol.
You incorrect the crip walk was invented in 1973 74 in fact i was the best... Ask somebody listing is learning and history is knowledge... Good day young g learn your history... No need to response we've said our piece..
@@therealmelvinfarmer8370 I remember reading Tookie’s book thinking, he would’ve helped waaaaaaay more ppl alive, than he ever could’ve dead. You want to see respect, watch an OG speak up and begin sharing Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding. Respect bro!
@DomaVeLiii 4X wrong alot of the symbols they use have satanic/Masonic origins .whether you like it or not The government created gangs to destroy the black community and the ones who run the government left their mark with the occult tendencies they display.
@DomaVeLiii 4X It doesn’t answer how they 1. use Masonic symbols and much of their behaviour and codes line up with masonry Doesn’t matter what area they’re from that’s a pretty interesting coincidence and 2. Plenty of gang members are satanist even the police which most are masons had a hand in allowing it to spread ,they even gave them weapons to boost the violence so it was clearly a government plan and they are masons it’s not even a crazy tin hat conspiracy theory 😂😂then came along rap that just escalated it even more and if your smart enough you’ll know what most rappers are so common now don’t get me wrong there’s always been gangs but I should of probably used your terminology they infiltrated and started the modern wave of gangbanging .
