Yeah the song is really cute and pop but the lyrics is kinda dark. Like you said , it's about the dark side of social media that always judge them no matter what. Like how they judge jihyo back then about her weight. I don't care if they chubby or not pretty as long as their personality is great and talented. TWICE are always clever and detailed with their concepts and songs, from the vibe of the song, visuals, to the lyrics and even choreo, it's connected , you will discover a new detail every time you try to focus on (the MV ,lyrics and dance), the whole concept is about the new interactive world of the new generation , some even say that there's something deep and sad about the real meaning of those lyrics; Likey is a continuation of the girls growing up journey , at that age they will be more interested of their appearances ,being on social media and appealing to their crushs. The choreo is imagery description of the lyrics(for exemple the windows are insta photos; they are pointing to the heart on the side; MOMO was applying bb cream and lipstick; jihyo zapped jeongyeon dress; during the bridge that domino was wifi icon... There's a lot personality and flavor in the girls dancing here , you can feel how fun it's for them ; it's always like that for them , if you watch their different stages you will see it.

FACTS ABOUT "LIKEY" MV - Filmed in Canada - There's an alien in the camera (from Signal MV) - Some clips were filmed by Jihyo - "L" is for Likey - Jeongyeon got in an accident while riding a skateboard - Momo's part (combination of CHEER UP, TT AND SIGNAL hand choreography) - BB cream part was choreograph by Sana - Jihyo's scene holding a firecracker was supposed to be all of them but other members were afraid of it. - There's a sign "Heart Shaker" at Jihyo's back (spoiler for their next comeback) - The firecracker that Jihyo holding was the last firecracker left - Dahyun's legendary "Dab" at the rap part - Momo choreograph the whole dance break - Jeongyeon finally bought what she's wearing at the last part - Their last formation was a Heart shape - We can hear the intro of "Heart Shaker" at the end of the MV Hope it will enlighten all of us lol😂

This song was when everyone wondered if TWICE had a new “best” song - not that any song needs to be THE best. But there’s always that thought in the back of a fan’s head... “Will anything ever outshine this gem?” And the consensus was that “TT” was their top track. Then “Likey” released and everyone was going crazy for it. :)

Just an FYI about the name tags. Sometimes labels will send these dance practice videos to the music broadcasting shows so that the Producers can learn the choreography and figure out when they will need to pull close-ups of individual members. The name tags just makes it easier for them to identify the members while watching and planning their camera shots.
Like definitely has one of their most iconic point choreographies and the song/concept have aged well considering now more than ever with social media, people tend to want to impress others and get likes. It took me a moment to realize that the pointing to the bottom left they do in every chorus is referring to the LIKE button on Instagram haha the song really is so clever in using the anecdote of getting likes on social media for getting liked or noticed by your crush. Some others have mentioned this but you missed a video that was released between Likey and What Is Love called Heart Shaker - also a cute song with a really fun video and catchy choreo you don't want to miss!
Likey was their latest comeback when I discovered them (making Heart Shaker my first comeback).This song remains arguably my favorite song from them. Everything about it is just so happy and good. Also as a Momo bias, her solo dance break sslaappppsss
I love this song especially since it was what brought me into Kpop, and purely by chance. I didn't even know what Kpop was, but I saw on the news that a Korean girl group called Twice were making a MV in Vancouver where I grew up. I was curious, watched it, and was hooked immediately. Dreamcatcher came next and then many more. Thank you Twice for the sunshine you brought into my life.

Hi, Brilliant video giving a dissection of the dance routine & MV. Now, since you are going backwards this was their cute, but with a dark side twist to it [personally, I can't wait to see what you make of their debut song Like Ooh Aah]. The songs are extremely cute [Super Kawaii to borrow from the Japanese vernacular], but even more addictive [I have lost count how many times I have listened to all their songs since their first debut, it would probably crash my Excel spreadsheet]. Apparently, they shot this video in Canada [possibly Vancouver], lucky people [the closest I got to a Kpop artist filming near me was when Jennie from Blackpink filmed her solo debut song "Solo" in London]. I saw you ask *_"Why are they wearing their names?"_* , this practice video is the version the record labels submit to the music shows for consideration. Obviously the big labels have no problem getting invited to the shows. But the less famous groups basically have to audition to be invited to the music shows. Plus if something in the choreo is not "family friendly", the music shows will tell the label so they can change it before the group appears on the TV show. A lot of the "sexy" girl groups choreos in their music videos are different than what they perform on the music shows.
