So, I'm a Texan, too, and I love these girls! I also have baught 2 O'G3NE albums, one digital I burned to CD that is in my car stereo all the time, and the second is stuck in transit from the Netherlands to here since last month. 😕 Anyway, I can see how growing up as family together, being into music since kids, they played with echoing till they perfected it. That's really fun. BTW: the Wikipedia article on them says their dad is a famous music producer and writes all their songs for them. Cool dad!
@Superpiair1 Just because they are not known in the US doesn't make them less good. They have their own songs and those are GOOD songs. Tbh I rather listen to O'G3NE then to some of those aboslute top people. But hey luckely we don't have to agree and we all have different taste.

These girls are highly rated in our country (rightfully so!) and they have been the subject of quite a few other reaction videos by vocalists and/or coaches. They have blown all their minds is.. safe to say i think. Its fun to see people react to "Sing" because that is just mad skills right there, ofc they been singing together like... forever, and that shows. Harmonies like they do... indeed do not come around all that often and the BeeGees/Destiny Child compared to Og3ne.. or vice versa.. i do have to agree on as they are indeed of that level. I do agree they should try their luck in the USA at some point, see if they can hook up with some of the great Motown music writers (cause that would create magic!), but i dont think they will for reasons that have to do with the well-being of the little sister, she's actually somewhat of a medical miracle on her own. For starters she was born with her organs on the opposite side of her body, and she only has one lung, and her sisters are very protective of her and her health and will never take any risks that could potentially put her health at risk. (they are a very tight family) Either way, i love how you did this video, showing where they came from, and where they ended up in the end, these girls are successful here :) One final note, something you couldnt know upfront but.. the Netherlands (Holland is a province) is multi-lingual, most of us speak at least 1 more language, often 2 or even 3 (English, German, French and ofc Dutch). The Dutch are actually considered the #1 English speaking nation, that isnt of English origin, 90% speak English, of which some 20% speak ok-ish, another 20% pretty decent and a whopping 60% speaks and writes English on the level of a native speaker... or better even lol (not even joking lol) Ok thats enough shameless national promotion for me hehehe, again ... great video and i too hope these girls will gain international fame eventually (more than they have now anyway)

The last clip you showed O'gene in is from a dutch tv program called "Best singers". Last year they had another show with the same setup and invited vocalist Floor Jansen. She is lead singer for the Finish symphonic metal band called Nightwish. Even though she and the band attract huge crowds all over Europe and South-America hardly anybody knew her in her own home country. They participated in the junior version of Eurovision and after that they recorded songs for kids. The Voice made a huge difference to them. That's where their adult carreer started. They also did the adult version of Eurovision representing the Netherlands with a song for their mother who died not long after that.

I’m Dutch and I saw them perform for the first time on the Junior Eurovision Songfestival. It was amazing! That was when I first discovered acapella. A couple of years later I discovered Pentatonix (an acapella group from Arlington Texas) Maybe you could react to them as well? I’m kind of obsessed with them. They are amazing!

I think almost all the Dutch people can speak English, you start learning that when you're about 7 years old :) Also, they do got a lot of songs, they even had an own tour, called three times a lady. Fun fact: I don't know if you know the band: why don't we, but their cousin is corbin, who is a member of that boyband. Actualy their mother passed away a couple years ago... well I am a really big fan of gene and I can guarantee that they are all real good in English they have been in Eurovision for kids and adults in different years ofc. In both they had their own songs. also right now they have an album and several singles. they are one of the most iconic girl groups ever to exist. but please don't judge them cus they do have songs.

In the last video they show a self-invented technique called 'echoing'. They each sing a word of the sentence, making it sound like an echo is being used. They show this by raising their hand to the word they are singing.

I don't know why you say they don't have their own songs... Watch some of their first home isolation video's. It's just really hard to break through outside of ones own country... I'm pretty sure every singer outside of the U.S. has experienced this. It hasn't got anything to do with talent or songs. Even within the U.S. it has more to do with record labels and how you are advertised as a person. I know so many great vocalists from different countries, who many people haven't even heard of. Og3ne already have great succes in the Netherlands and even won the prize of 'best singers'. But it's like you need to start all over again to get recognition world wide. One of our greatest female singers, Glennis Grace, struggles with the same thing. I'm so glad for Og3ne that these home isolation video's have worked out for them as they did.
