Ogryns are a race of what are called 'abhumans'. They are accepted as citizens of the Imperium, but are often treated very poorly due to their stunted intelligence. They are like big giants with the mental and emotional capacities of 4 year olds. Another very popular Ogryn story is called "Gav & Bob" by Vox In the Void. It has 5 episodes that chronicle the adventures of an Ogryn named Gav, and does a really good job of highlighting their childlike nature. The first few episodes are definitely tear jerkers though, but it gets really epic.

The fact an ogryn can succeed saying multiple syllables consistently, is quite impressive. Love the big guys.

Ogryns comes from a planet that has a very strong gravity pull, they're a mutation from humans. Really big, really strong but with an infant level intelligence. VERY loyal, as long as the boss give em shiny medals, they're really happy.

Best way to describe an Ogryn is a 9 to 10ft tall person who can bench press a mini bus for fun, with the intelligence of a kid between the ages of 4 and 6, armed with a semiautomatic shotgun with explosive shells, a large club, a shield, and some times a knife and grenades. They are humans who adapted from living on planets with higher gravity. They might not be the brightest star in the sky but they are the most caring people in this universe.

Ogryns have found themselves under the loving care of a smaall part of the fanbase that sees them for what they really are. Pure souls, in monster bodies. Blessed with enough strength and size to literally rip a space marine apart, but given a child-like intelligence level, to the point where any order requiring more than 3 consecutive actions (take grenade, pull pin, throw) becomes confusing and migraine inducing when they try to comprehend. This leads to temper tantrums where the best thing you can do is move out of visual range and hope they are not near any sensitive equipment. Coincidently, their weapons are specifically designed to be used as makeshift clubs, and surivve it, because this is the default state of mind in an Ogryns when faced with an empty gun. Screw reload, I can bash their 'Ead in!

One thing to mention is that this story is about Cadians, whose planet got destroyed by Abadon at the start of the 13th Black Crusade and is a major plot point because of how pivotal the planet was as a defensive bastion against Chaos and how good the soldiers were that were trained there. They were so hardcore that there were groups of Cadians that were fighting while the planet was literally breaking up underneath them, and only stopped when the atmosphere was released from the gravitational pull of the planet. Most of those who were still on planet died, so really the only Cadians left were the ones who were deployed elsewhere. Popular quote about that whole thing. "The planet broke before the Guard did."

Quick primer on 40k and Ogryn's. 40k is Sword and Sorcery in space, all the wizards, dragons and fantasy races included. So Ogryn's are just Ogre's, big brutes with tusk like teeth, low intelligence and an ability to eat anything and everything

Another good story about Ogryns is called Gav and Bob by Vox in the Void. It follows an Ogryn named Gav, and it's a little better at showing what the intelligence of the average Ogryn is like before they receive the Bone-ed implant.

So, the ogryns are classified as abhumans, whoch is the Imperium's term for people who evolved far enough from regular himans, but not different enough to be considered mutants, or if they are too useful to be disregarded and exterminated as mutants.

You can't help but love the ogryn. They're the only true "good guys" in Warhammer.

At 3:44 as he described how he used a Krieg soldier to hit the others, I just imagne how he held one of them by their ancles like a baseballbat and swung away. Dont know why.

Best way I've described Ogryns to people is as such: think a 9 to 10 foot tall human, that has the strength of two gorillas & is between a 4 year old to Forrest Gump in intelligence but absolute sweethearts

Ogryns can't typically count as high as five. If he said there was five of them, it was anywhere from five to infinity.

Ogryn are likengiant children who only want to help people I think they are the only people in the 40k universe who a genuinely good
