Ogurchinsky Island or Ogurdzhaly Island, the largest island in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. Its area is about 8,000 hectares. It is located 30 kilometers southwest of the Cheleken Peninsula. In appearance, the outlines of the island are a typical spit, stretching for almost 40 kilometers. But the width is not at all large, a maximum of 3 - 3.5 kilometers. The island is low-lying, due to which during severe storms, in some of the narrowest areas, sea waves roll across the entire island.
