Screw you! You wouldn’t be saying that it’s overreacting if it happened to you! I didn’t know any of this and my bottle is from a few years ago and low and behold had that ingredient. I have a totally smooth, shined bald spot the size of a large plum in the middle of my head. Never dealt with balding or thinning and have very thick dark hair to the middle of my back which is why I didn’t notice this huge spot till it got so bad. I been going to dr appointments, getting bloodwork, using steroid creams and researching for hours on ways to regrow hair while worrying it’s a condition that will spread and having to research causes nonstop and now I come across this very helpful video in 2024, the video from two years ago but if she wasn’t “overreacting” as you say than I wouldn’t have even known to stop using this Awful shampoo. I use it just a few times a week and it does smell good and make my hair have volume at the roots till the next wash which is why I kept using it and bought four bottles which is why I still have old bottles in my cabinet, a little goes a long way. When I found this huge spot I was literally shaking, not something I ever thought I would have to deal with and I have been randomly using it on my six yr old too who hasn’t went bald but does have a lot of shedding now. The doctors have no explanation and I didn’t think it could be this shampoo but here we are.

AMEN! Glad it is working out for you! I've gone the route of using Harklinikken, and it's costly but good? Just recently due to finances taking a break from Harklinikken and actually testing the Nioxin Minoxidil for women from Ulta. It's more affordable and so far so good. Yes - so - the question is - the ingredient is plainly listed on the label, albeit, in teeny tiny writing. It is not a true fraud because the DMDM hydantoin is listed. Shall be watching to see what happens!

Not a "professional" in chemistry however even I'm aware that this whole dmdm hydantoin lawsuit is not enough to throw away such an amazing and well put together shampoo and conditioner compared even to the highest end products. Yes one might have OCD and expect everything to be all natural for it to be considered safe but as someone practical that is definitely not the case for me. I bet hardly anyone knew that probably more than 50% of hand sanitizer brands have had carcinogens in them. Even fruits and vegetables such as apples, broccoli, lemons, onions etc that are deemed to be "healthy" have cancer causing agents. So are you going to chop the trees down? Of course not. Because they are healthy etc. Same with Dmdm hydantoin - it might be linked with cancer but it does kill harmful bacteria and these shampoos are no where near as dangerous as smoking tobacco and as u are definitely aware of; people have been smoking that shit for years and the majority of deceased smokers were cancer-free. It is no where near the amount required to cause cancer. I would only not recommend the shampoo to people with oversensitive skin. The only logical reason i can find for people who file lawsuits unconsciously is either because they lack enough knowledge therefore they become fearful - or just in hopes of making money - or like most people; JUST BECAUSE. I have never used OGX before but i do plan on getting the tea tree + mint shampoo and conditioner for myself. I can let people believe what they want if it has nothing to do with me but this line of haircare products is actually something i would recommend to others hence i have to warn people about it because even my girlfriend is telling me about Johnson and Johnson causing cancer. And I'm just like here we go again. Have to put it in baby language for these "experts". Remember that the top learner in school never had perfect marks... But neither did the top doctor. No one knows everything. But i do know the above. If you made it this far you must have been just as bored as me.

Hey Beauty! Please be kind to you! I bought it too for help with thyroid thinning hair and this product made my hair worse. I stopped using and switched to other brands. Nothing wrong with wanting to buy a product to help yourself. Chin up Beauty, lest your crown slips!

It has stopped shedding by the handful. I personally have been using the Harklinikken extract, shampoo and conditioner and like the results. A good pal has used Vegamor which has commercials on every video on RU-vid and she is seeing success using their 4 part system. Cheers to your healing!

Hi! Word is, there has been a formulation change. So how much do you trust that? Here's two options that I personally have used/am using and I like both. I've used the Harklinikken hair system (shampoo, conditioner and the EXTRACT - which is amazing though my price for the 4 products, every 3 months, is $248.00) - ouch. I'm taking a break from Harklinikken due to price ( harklinikken.com/) I'm currently using the Nioxin colored hair shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment, it's costing me $41.00 for the system. Here's info on that: amzn.to/3zVrT7a I have tried Bosley, Keranique and Nutrafol for healing my Hashimotos hair and those three are cute but not worth the price for puny results.
