Psalm 1 is the first of the 150 psalms recorded in the Book of Psalms. This psalm is a song of blessing and praise to God, extolling the virtues of those who delight in His law. It speaks of the blessedness of those who meditate on God's law and reject the counsel of the wicked. It contrasts the lot of the wicked and the righteous and promises that the Lord will save the righteous and punish the wicked. It is a reminder to seek God's guidance and trust in His protection. The psalm ends with a call to all to rejoice in the Lord and to bless His name.
