The show is Littered with unbiblical text and dialogue. In this very video, show me in Scripture where Jesus says, I am just getting started. This series is dangerous and too much of it is unbiblical. Made up of scenes and dialogue for entertainment purposes.

@@enterprisecreations1492couldn’t agree more, this isn’t the Jesus of the Bible. It’s a fabrication, a false representation of the savior. So dangerous. Because of things like this, I much prefer story’s with biblical teaching and themes rather than “direct” representations of scripture. We can never do justice to Jesus he’s God, his glory is so far beyond our comprehension.

Have you ever watched the Ten Commandments or The Robe? Did you say that about them? The Bible says to be angry and sin not. If you think Jesus never got angry with the Pharisees and their hypocrisy, that is not scriptural.

What are you doing? Is showing that Jesus had feelings, emotional feelings just like we all, but he was more than human. He was God in human form and felt all the pain and sadness enjoys but no Sin.

I've watched many Christian movies, and have seen Jesus portrayed by many actors, but the compassion, passion, straight forwardness, and even the lighthearted and funny side Jonathan Roumie exhibits throughout the entire series is exactly what I would expect of Jesus. Hands down, he's my favorite portrayal of Jesus all time! I'm really looking forward to spending eternity with Jesus!

But even if I wasn’t aware of that, you could have been a bit more gracious in making me aware of that fact :) I only meant that I appreciate the way that the creators of the show have been inspired by scripture in order to film a tv show that uses actors, dialogue, sets, camera work, and much more, in order to deliver us a visual picture of the scriptures that they have been inspired by when filming this show.

Make sure this isn’t replacing your Bible reading because you will have to be able to discern what is actually biblical and what isn’t in this show. The danger of shows like this, are when people who don’t read their bibles take events that happen in this show as fact.

It’s not. Do you not understand that this is a show. There are plenty of things that Jesus said, and did that were not recorded in the Bible. I believe one of the gospel writers mentions this. The Chosen is trying its best to remain faithful to the original writings from the gospel, but for the sake of making good television, they have to ask themselves what is some thing that could’ve been said. And they are not trying to pass it off as something that Jesus absolutely 100% said. But you and me have brains and we can conclude that this is a line that would not be out of Jesus‘s character, more than likely. He called out the Pharisees numerous times and had plenty to say about them and their hypocrisy. So it is not entirely out of the realm of possibility that maybe Jesus could’ve said at some point a phrase similar to I am just getting started.
