As a former Coast Guard member, no marine law enforcement officers would allow all those people sitting on the bow of a boat, heading out to sea, especially since not a single one of them was wearing a PFD. Those officers must have been busy since all they did was have them move to the cockpit and not cite the Captain.

Hanging their feet over the bow is extremely dangerous. I’m surprised that vessel wasn’t approached by law enforcement. Be safe everyone. 🇺🇸✌🏼

Good job by the police, they weren't on the Miami river anymore, better to be seen as bad guys than fishing people out of the water after being run over by the props.

Engine confusion :o) I’ve only seen two stroke outboards from back in the day. Are these big outboards like a Nissan skyliner engine stood on its flywheel? (Plus bearing and oil flow changes) it’s difficult to get an idea of the size of them from vids.

At the beginning of the video the inlet conditions only looked like she had an upset stomach but when you get to the mouth where the inlet meets the ocean then you have SMASH AND GRAB KIND OF WATER 💧. Enjoy the weekend people !!!!

Why did the "captain" of that Cobia allow his passenger to sit on the bow, as she did. It's a short journey from the bow to the props and this is how you make that journey.

All of those people on the bow deck definitely interfered with the captain's view. None of those passengers had any kind of flotation devises available and with that many people the captain would never realize anyone in trouble before it was too late. I commend the patrol and their warning, note they could have stopped the boat and done a safety check. This is a busy passage and the captain should be paying attention outside his ship. Any interference is a distraction.

Is it me, comparing the size of the boat and engine on the 300hp Regal, as compared to most of the boats I see here, it seems that the boat is, or at least looks, under powered. Most boats that size, I'm used to seeing at least three 300hp engines or better or an inboard/outboard. Mind you, where I'm from, boats aren't overpowered very often because the police and conservation authorities tend to check out these things. Also, I'm in between Lakes Erie and Ontario, so most of the boats are more suited to lake conditions, which probably means slower.lmao

If you cannot behave on a boat, do not go out on a boat. Love watching the people with courage take the smaller craft in and out.

Show me where te c ops hav the Authority on the water they don't where I live parks and wildlife the coast guard. The city limits in Texas stop at the water's edge so you might be able to have a county sheriff go out and then have a presence but they don't have any authority on the water and and show me where it says that even to take the cops are on the water show me where it says that they can tell you where you can and can't sit on your own boat when you're Pat going to a pass they don't have that authority.

I'm always amazed by the number of stupid people that let their small children ride right up on the bow without a single PFD anywhere in sight! How stupid and irresponsible are these people? Their boats are obviously moored there, so they gotta be aware of the danger this inlet poses, right?

Going through a pass under the open Atlantic or even into the Gulf of Mexico is inherently a dangerous activity OK OK there is danger in it it's a if the police can tell you where to sit in your own boat they can tell you how to go through the pass and that's dangerous because those guys don't know anything about boats. I worked for a commercial boat company in Chicago and the Chicago river police didn't know anything about the bean on the water the coast guard had given their station to the Chicago city police then had you get to coast guard out there and the coast guard told the Chicago city police that they were wrong just like I said edit Huntington near coastal license Chicago river police don't have any authority over me on a federally documented vessel that's for the coast guard to do. Now in each civilian boat I still don't think the police have this authority I think it has to be parked a wildlife marine patrol in Texas where you had Texas parks of wildlife they are the law on the water and the coast guard Oscar that's the state in the federal. What kind of qualifications do these local law enforcement entities have on the water what do they know about the water what kind of a training have they had for anything about the water it's not like driving down the road a solid road that doesn't move you're on the water it moves and you're responsible for your vessel.

Along with everything I just said the cops don't have the authority to tell you where you can't sit in your boat now if somebody gets hurt on your boat you're responsible for that you're financially responsible you're introducing you have to pay for that 100% responsible but the cops can't tell you where to sit in your own boat.
